MAIA: ➡️ Supports multimodal access to airports with air mobility and autonomous shuttles ➡️ Develops tools and methods to define vertiport location in airports & optimise autonomous shuttles’ distribution within airports ➡️ Monitors passenger behaviour and transport mode choice to best adapt innovative services MUSE: ➡️ Aims at assessing urban air mobility services impacts on citizens quality of life ➡️ Defines indicators based on stakeholder consultation ➡️ Developed tools & methods to measure these indicators, so they are integrated into U-space airspace 👉 These two projects support #citiesandregions to oversee the introduction of #airtransportservices in their lower airspace 🚀 Thanks to our dear partners Ricardo Herranz from Nommon and Behzad Bamdad Mehrabani, PhD from Transport & Mobility Leuven for representing MUSE & MAIA at the POLIS Network conference, THE European event gathering transport practitioners of over 120 local aurthorities!

Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to present our paper "A Methodology for Evaluating UAM Noise and Visual Pollution," at the #SIDS2024 in Rome! ✨ Our research, part of the MUSE SESAR Project, introduces a comprehensive methodology to assess the environmental impact of Urban Air Mobility (#UAM), focusing on critical factors like noise and visual pollution. Their current task is the noise assessment of the MUSE first #testscenario taking place in #Madrid. To best assess #noise of drones potentially flying over Madrid for emergency services, loitering, or delivery, several steps are completed.
