20 Years of Virtualware. When Unai Extremo and Sergio Barrera Mayo founded the company in 2003, they had no idea where this journey would take them. Creating the company was like traveling through time. Or at least a time travel attempt. They were on a journey into virtual reality at a time in history when this technology was little more than an idea for all practical purposes. In 2024, our EBITDA increased by 90%, driven by VIROO's expansion in North America and our first European acquisition.
