Breaking barriers, one Season at a time 💪 In just four seasons, the gap in performance times between our male and female drivers has closed by almost 70%, reducing from 4.5 secs in Season 1 to just 1.1s by Season 4 By committing to these four frameworks, the gap between our female and male drivers has lessened year-on-year and we remain committed to equality moving into Extreme H: - Increased Seat Time: Ensures female drivers gain the same competitive experience and visibility as their male teammates, in the same vehicle. - Encouraged Development: Teams invest equally in training and development for both drivers. - Promoting Confidence: Female drivers are not only going head-to-head against the best drivers in the world, including legends Sebastien Loeb and Carlos Sainz Sr, but they also gain from their mentorship as teammates, which supports development. - Open data sharing: Female and male drivers work together reviewing the key data points from the car to improve overall performance. We super love this post! Thank you Shelley Zalis for sharing! #Wedrivewomen
Always, the period product brand, started their #Likeagirl campaign in 2014 to bring awareness to the many things that can knock a young girl’s confidence as they reach puberty. Through creative and emotional iterations, they turned a phrase meant to be insulting into a powerful movement that helps reinstall that crucial confidence. And I’m here to reinforce it: “Like a girl” is one of our superpowers!

🚀 Exciting News from 🏎️ Formula 1 Formula 1, in collaboration with all 10 F1 teams and the FIA – Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile , has launched a ground-breaking Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) charter. This initiative, developed with the Royal Academy of Engineering and inspired by the Hamilton Commission Company LLC, is set to transform the sport by promoting diversity and inclusion at all levels. Key highlights include: -Fully-funded engineering scholarships for underrepresented groups🌟 -New apprentice and intern schemes🌟 -The continuation of the all-female F1 Academy🌟 At our association, We Drive Women Automotive & Motorsport Organization, we are really happy about this development. We hope to continue working together to create a more diverse and inclusive future in motorsport. 🌟 #Diversity #Inclusion #Formula1 #Innovation #Motorsport #WeDriveWomen
I launched the Hamilton Commission in 2021 to figure out why there were so few people who looked like me in my sport and why it’s been that way my whole life. With the help of the Royal Academy of Engineering, we started answering those questions and created a report outlining what the barriers were for people like me. This charter is a result of the findings from that report. The impact this can have is massive and I thank the sport for taking on this commitment. For all the teams, Formula 1 and the FIA to recognise the need for diversity is an incredible sign of progress. Can’t wait to see and support all that comes from this. https://lnkd.in/gCtSK_c6

What’s it like working in motorsport as a woman? Usually when I tell people I work in motorsport it’s followed by shock. Then “that’s pretty cool”. A young woman working in motorsport still catches people off guard. And whilst my gender has nothing to do with my 👉interest in motorsport 👉my knowledge 👉my work it often still remains a barrier. Whilst so many incredible women are breaking down a ‘man’s world’ in these industries … We still have ❌Men questioning our knowledge ❌Men taking credit for our ideas ❌Men dismissing our opinions And for those of us who share our work on social media, often this comes with a lot of hate too. Purely for being female. For me my gender and my age combined can sometimes mean I’m overlooked. I shouldn’t need to be the loudest in a room or the most qualified to be taken seriously and have my voice heard, but it can often feel this way. But Tatum you love working in motorsport? 👀 Because whilst there are still challenges to overcome there is also the most incredible community within the motorsport industry! Women and Men who have ⭐️Supported me ⭐️Inspired me ⭐️Uplifted me Everyone’s experience in motorsport is different, so I’d love to hear your stories 👇 p.s. tag a woman in motorsport who inspires you 🤗 #womeninmotorsport
