Natural Swimming Pools: Innovating for the Right to Swim
At Bluet, we believe that safe, clean, and swimmable waterways should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’ve redefined swimming pool design with our Natural Water Pools, enabling sustainable swimming experiences in seas, lakes, and rivers. As proud signatories of the Swimmable Cities Charter, we are committed to turning the Right to Swim into a global reality.
This week, we collaborated with the Valyo Association to share insights into how our solutions can support their Swimmable Cities campaign. As Budapest City Council is looking to approving a feasibility study to revive its historic floating river baths, our expertise is contributing to turning these ideas into reality. Kimmo Saharinen and Tytti Sirola provided detailed information on:
· Overall solution for safe, clean and enjoyable floating swimming pool
· Materials used in Bluet’s structures
· Seasonal maintenance, such as dismantling for winter
· Planning and construction timelines
· Functional details of the grated net system (materials and filtration)
· Operation in river environments, including managing driftwood and integrating water quality measurement systems
This kind of collaboration reflects our broader mission to innovate and support swimmable waterways, and we are honored that these efforts have been recognized with a nomination for the prestigious i-NOVO Innovation Award. This acknowledgment celebrates our commitment to sustainable solutions and highlights our Natural Water Pools as a game-changing innovation for urban swimming.
