📊 Some of the recent Lithuanian improvements in stats globally: Lithuania has climbed to 22nd place in the Global Digital Competitiveness rankings, leading the Baltics. Furthermore, Lithuania ranks 5th in the OECD for tax competitiveness!   In the 2024 Global Digital Competitiveness Ranking, Lithuania climbed 6 positions, securing 22nd place out of 67 evaluated countries. Lithuania is scoring particularly well in the "readiness for the future" category, ranking 17th. Lithuanian startups and investors gathered together in Helsinki. This week in Helsinki is about Slush, where the core of startups, investors, and hi-tech professionals from around the globe come into one place. Startup Lithuania with 16 bright Lithuanian startups participated here as well. Moreover, the side event was organized to familiarize foreign guests with the Lithuanian startup ecosystem. Furthermore, Embassy of Lithuania to Finland, Embassy of Latvia in Finland, Estonian Embassy in Helsinki together with Fondia Oyj, Finnish Business Angels Network (FiBAN) organized a networking event „Baltic Sea Unicorns“ to get to know the Baltic startup environment. We are pleased to announce that H. E. Mr. Edvilas Raudonikis, Ambassador of Lithuania in Finland officially presented his Letters of Credence to the President of Finland, H.E. Mr. Alexander Stubb, on November 5, 2024, at Mäntyniemi, the Presidential Palace of Finland. This marks a new chapter in furthering the strong and cooperative relations between Lithuania and Finland. The Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Finland share close ties in both political and economic spheres. H.E. Mr. Edvilas Raudonikis is the eighth Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland since Lithuania restored its independence in 1990.

Invest Lithuania: Technology in Helsinki! Over the last few weeks, several Invest Lithuania delegations have visited Finland to attract new local partners. This time we along with the Technology team were delighted to interact with the Finland-Lithuania Business Association at the Embassy where Indre Maliaukiene presented what Lithuania has the best and most interesting to offer for Finnish businesses. Ambassador Edvilas Raudonikis with Kristupas Stankus and Risto Uusitalo enriched the discussion. Apart from that, the team attended the annual Cyber Security Nordic event in Helsinki.

Big step for clean energy for Finland, Lithuania, and the entire region! 💧 ⚡ In April 2024, the European Commission granted the Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor the status of a project of common interest, which allows an application for EU project funding to accelerate implementation procedures! This project will generate a large hydrogen market and export potential towards continental Europe. The corridor could reduce carbon emissions by up to 37 million tons of CO₂ equivalent annually by 2050. The Corridor will enhance energy security and supply diversity in the region and Europe.
