SW4E Ecosystem

The SW4E Ecosystem is proud to be part of the major European software project HAL4SDV, dedicated to advancing vehicle development. Among the 59 participating organizations from 11 countries, Finnish partners include our member University of Oulu and #Unikie, a member of VAMOS Ecosystem for Autonomous Mobility in Smart Spaces. Aligned with the EU’s Strategic Research and Innovation priorities on Electronic Components and Systems, the groundbreaking #HAL4SDV project focuses on developing software-defined vehicles (SDVs) as part of the Chips Joint Undertaking program. The project’s objectives are both comprehensive and transformative, including: ✅ Unification of software interfaces, ✅Creation of a robust hardware abstraction framework, ✅Facilitation of Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, ✅Design of advanced platform architectures, and ✅Provision of essential development tools. These objectives are critical for ensuring the agility and adaptability of Europe’s automotive industry to meet the demands of the future.
