I just listened to this podcast between my two friends Runar Reistrup and Simon Hill 🎧 Rúnar's story is super interesting. Like me, he's a from the Faroe Islands and now considers himself a Londoner (although we're always Faroese at heart). 🌍 Last week, Hugskotið, along with several Faroese companies and business partners, proudly represented the Faroe Islands at TechBBQ as a Community partner. Our mission? To showcase Faroese innovation on a global stage and invite international guests to Tonik 2025, taking place on May 9th next year. In addition, we hosted a special pop-up event at our booth, featuring Faroese refreshments from Føroya Bjór. We’re excited to share that the Faroese booth was constantly buzzing with so many interesting people and conversations. With a unique "TONIK flair" our space was creatively designed with decorations and artwork by Joel Cole and Bárður DC, crafted by Heidi Mortensen and Gunnleygur Clementsen. A special thanks to the companies that joined us: Flowcore Intra, Lunnar, Føroya Banki, Atlanta, Tøknitænastan, Cut&talk, and Miðlahúsið. We also want to extend our gratitude to Gastro, Visit Faroe Islands, and Føroya Bjór for their support.
