Module assembly: where the magic happens! The Billy-Berclau #Gigafactory vertical module assembly line showcases manufacturing at its finest. It combines automated systems, quality control and expert engineering to build the power units driving tomorrow’s electric vehicles. Here, an automatically-guided vehicle brings cells to the edge of the line, preceding the dance of robots holding the cells between their clamps. The modules assembled here are soon to equip models such as the Opel Grandland, or PEUGEOT E-3008 and E-5008.

Visit of a Serbian journalists delegation to Nersac! This Monday, February 10, Nersac team had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of 15 Serbian journalists as part of the "Pulse of Europe - Media Trips to EU” program, a project funded by the European Union and supported by the EU Delegation in Serbia, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the French Embassy in Belgrade. Objective of the program? Explore the latest trends in energy transition in France, particularly lithium battery production and its role in the future of sustainable energy and mobility. During their visit to Nersac, the journalists had the opportunity to discover our site and learn more about the challenges and innovations shaping the energy and automotive industries. This visit is part of a broader itinerary that includes a nuclear power plant visit and meetings with key stakeholders in the energy and mobility sectors. This week, our teams experienced a great moment on the construction site of the second block of our #Gigafactory: the first coating line received its drying ovens! Twenty-four ovens, each weighing 9 tonnes, were transported into the building, lifted and installed on the structure in their final locations. Now it's time to make the adjustments to achieve the required linearity to the nearest millimetre. In the next few days, the first machines needed to mix the inks will make their entrance. All the teams involved deserve a big round of applause! 👏

Today we celebrated the Chandeleur in Bruges and Paris thanks to our CSE! A festival with an ancient heritage, celebrated in several French-speaking countries, where it's customary to feast on crêpes. Their round, golden shape symbolises the sun and heralds the return of fine weather - we can't wait! Sugar, maple syrup or jam, the choice was difficult! What's your favourite? A warm thank you to our CSE team for organizing this delightful celebration! 

Fanny CINUS has her own little secrets for meeting a crazy challenge: creating the conditions for training employees in skills that didn't exist in France until now. Her team is in the process of successfully meeting this challenge, with a large number of committed and motivated partners throughout the region. This Thursday, ACC was at the Battery Tech Expo in Lille. All the players in the battery industry based in the Hauts-de-France region were there, within easy reach of numerous industrial players. With production of the first block ramping up, and a second under construction, the #Gigafactory in Billy-Berclau will forever remain the pioneer of this sector in France.  That's what Matthieu Hubert, General Secretary of ACC, reminded us when he talked about the challenges ahead, how to meet them, and with which partners. On the ACC stand, visitors could discover a module and several cells manufactured in Billy-Berclau. A fine way to showcase the commitment and talent of ACC's 1,600 employees!
