🇪🇺 United for space: strengthening Europe's orbital security together! In a world where space is both an opportunity and a contested domain, European cooperation is paramount to ensuring the safety and sustainability of our orbital environment. The integration of ground-based infrastructures with advanced space-based observation systems allows for a comprehensive approach to Space Situational Awareness (SSA). This synergy is essential for detecting, assessing, and responding to orbital risks such as debris, collisions, and potential hostile activities. As the lead coordinator of the SPRING project, Aldoria is proud to spearhead this initiative supported by the European Defence Fund. SPRING brings together five European SMEs—Aldoria, AIKO - Infinite ways to autonomy, LMO, Nurjana Technologies, and Sybilla Technologies—to develop innovative, interated solutions. Aldoria plays a central role in designing the SPRING Hub, leveraging its advanced SSA capabilities to catalogue space objects, characterize threats, and enable seamless collaboration with partner systems. Together with its partners, SPRING integrates expertise in autonomous satellite operations, optical observation, military-grade interface and computer vision processing to create a functional chain that enhances orbital security. Such cooperation is not just a technical achievement but also a strategic imperative. In pooling resources, expertise, and technologies, Europe strengthens its ability to protect vital space assets, ensuring both sovereignty and operational autonomy.
