Today, I’m performing a gantry angle control to replace our previous method using film, which we found expensive and not eco-friendly. Thanks to scientific advancements, this process is now digital. Here’s how it works: we use software to analyze images based on a predefined sequence. The setup is simple—place the Aquilab Calibration Phantom V3 on the couch, align the laser to its center, and position the laser on the surface as the SSD. After that, we export the image into the software then the software calculates the gantry’s rotation angle by measuring the distance between markers in each image, comparing them to a reference, and applying the appropriate tolerances. 🚀 Kick-Off Meeting for the #TETRIS Study (PI Tiziana Rancati) took place last month across two inspiring days at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano. - 🧑🤝🧑 37 collaborators from 4 UE Countries (Italy Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano Libera Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele ,Politecnico di Milano France AQUILAB by Coexya Neolys Diagnostics, Spain Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) Fundación Pública Galega de Medicina Xenómica, and Sweden Karolinska University Hospital) - 🧩 9 Work Packages will use retrospective and prospective omics data to generate personalized risk scores and prototype digital twins for breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. - 💡 New Ideas Flourished: It was inspiring to witness the development of fresh ideas through the discussions and speaker presentations. There’s real optimism about the study’s impact and future progress!
