The Association of Veterinary Consultants (AVC) is an experienced stakeholder organization recognized by the EMA (European Medicines Agency), EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), the European Commission, VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate, UK), ANSES and other global entities. AVC members are international veterinary practitioners, providing regulatory services to global food, pharmaceutical and feed industries, frequently involved in advising governments and regulators on key issues relating to human and animal health and nutrition. Among the AVC’s guiding principles are the key concepts of evidence-based science and animal welfare (e.g. 3Rs: replacing, reducing, refining use of animals in experiments, wherever possible). The Association of Veterinary Consultants (AVC) is a non-profit association founded on 31 May 1995 in Brussels and is a legal entity based at La Maison des Vétérinaires 10 place Léon Blum, 75011 Paris, France (Nº W751220920).   AVC is a voluntary Association of Veterinary Consultants that work as independent consultants in a variety of areas.   AVC member activities are normally concerned with broad animal and public health issues, notably in regulatory affairs, clinical research for veterinary medicinal products, feed and food additives, animal feed and nutrition, and human food safety and production. The scope of AVC is to provide the independent veterinary consultants with information and updates on general professional, scientific, financial and social issues, and to participate as stakeholders representing the AVC at the EMA, EFSA, and the EU Commission, and other National and International Regulatory Agencies.
