How to Optimize Management of Pulmonary Embolism Patients? Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate attention. In a recent case, a 65-year-old woman arrived at the hospital with acute chest pain and a history of PE. Standard diagnosis took over an hour to confirm the embolus, delaying crucial treatment. ⏳ With Avicenna.Ai’s CINA-PE, this timeline could be drastically reduced. CINA-PE can identify pulmonary embolisms within just 1 minute of scan completion, enabling faster intervention, coordinated care, and improved patient outcomes by saving up to an hour in diagnosis time. 🚑 👉 Explore the full case study to see how CINA-PE can transform PE management: https://lnkd.in/eUkXn5Su

🚀 New Publication Alert from Avicenna.AI ! We’re thrilled to share our latest study titled Deep Learning-Based ASPECTS Algorithm Enhances Reader Performance and Reduces Interpretation Time. ASPECTS is crucial for acute ischemic stroke treatment, but its interpretation can be challenging and time-consuming, often leading to variability among readers. In our multi-reader, multi-case study, we examined how our deep learning algorithm, CINA-ASPECTS, impacts clinician performance and interpretation time. We analyzed 200 NCCT scans and found that using the algorithm improved region-based accuracy from 72.4% to 76.5% and reduced interpretation time by 6%. This enhancement in performance and consistency shows the potential of AI in supporting physicians to make accurate and timely diagnoses of acute ischemic stroke. A big thank you to everyone at Avicenna and all the contributors involved in this project! Thank you to the Avicenna team for their work on this publication, and to the radiologists who contributed : Adam Davis, Peter Chang, Daniel Chow, Kambiz Nael and David Fussell, as well as Peter Shabe for his valuable contributions. Check out the full study for more insights: https://bit.ly/3NYYTiz #AIinHealthcare #StrokeCare #ClinicalStudy #AvicennaAI

🫁 Spotting Pulmonary Embolism (PE) Early: AI’s Vital Role in Diagnosis 🔎 Pulmonary embolism is often challenging to detect, especially for non-experts, as it can present subtly. Missing a PE diagnosis can lead to serious, even fatal, consequences if not treated in time. In our latest webinar, Pr. Philippe Grenier underlined the powerful role of AI, not only for improving the detection level but also for increasing the confidence of less-experienced clinicians, underlining the results of a clinical study performed at Hopital Foch, which demonstrated that big differences in diagnostic performances for residents with AI compared to those without AI can be obtained. CINA-PE represents an enabling tool for radiologists to rapidly detect and quantify PE, prioritize urgent cases, and assist timely interventions. The technology is developed to help meet growing demands in medical imaging and lighten some of the challenges in reading complex cases. Don’t miss the opportunity to gain insights from Pr. Philippe Grenier’s experience and the groundbreaking work being done at Foch hospital with AI in PE diagnosis.
