✨Our team at AXA GO Portugal engaged in some inspiring #volunteering activities recently!   🌊 At the Lisbon Oceanarium, we shared joyful moments alongside people with cognitive disabilities, exploring the wonders of marine life and sharing plenty of smiles along the way.    🏀 We kept the positive momentum going with the wonderful individuals from Elo Social during our monthly basketball games, promoting physical exercise and social interactions while shooting hoops and spreading joy.   ♻️ Additionally, our team regularly sorts and packs baskets of fruits and veggies for Fruta Feia CRL that would otherwise go to waste. 🌍 We are thrilled to celebrate Alexander Vollert’s presence at the AI Action Summit in Paris! His insights on sustainable #AI highlighted several crucial themes for a responsible future:   1️⃣ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: It's essential for #IT service providers to to share more openly the carbon emissions associated with AI, particularly #GenAI, empowering users to make data-based decisions. 2️⃣ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Upskilling employees on the use of (Gen)AI, and IT professionals on sustainable practices is crucial. At AXA, around 70% of our IT professionals across 21 entities have engaged in our digital sustainability academy. 3️⃣ 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We must leverage AI in a cost-effective and energy-efficient manner, ensuring that innovation remains unhindered while using appropriately sized datasets and the best-suited models.   Additionally, we are committed to collaborating with suppliers who share our sustainability goals. 🌟 AXA was honored to host our partner, the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), for a significant gathering focused on the latest advancements in #AI and the promotion of human-centered AI governance. This event has been organized in the continuity of our partnership with HAI- Stanford signed in September under the sponsorship of Andreas Schertzinger (Chief Data, AI & Innovation Officer) and the support of Marcin Detyniecki (Head of Research and Development & Group Chief Data Scientist). 🤝 Our AXA Group Chief Operating Officer, Alexander Vollert, joined leaders from various sectors and esteemed speakers, including Dr. Fei-Fei Li. They explored how #AI can positively impact society through ethical principles. 💡 The discussions highlighted the importance of aligning technological progress with a scientific approach.
