⚡📢⚡ Breaking news ⚡📢⚡   🌍 Nous sommes fiers d’annoncer aujourd'hui la création de notre nouveau fonds d'investissement « Axeleo Green Tech Industry I (GTI I) » pour soutenir l’industrie verte en Europe. 🌿Avec un premier closing à hauteur de 125M€, pour un objectif final de 250M€, l’objectif est d’apporter aux startups industrielles de la transition écologique fondateurs un appui déterminant au stade crucial de la création de leur première usine et du lancement commercial à grande échelle. 🌱Aujourd'hui, ces dernières manquent de ressources et d'investisseurs spécialisés. C’est pour cela qu’avec MARC LECHANTRE, Guillaume Ⓥ Sarlat, Mathieu Viallard, Sandra Dubos (Bienvenue !) et l’ensemble de l’équipe d’Axeleo Capital (AXC), nous avons décidé de lancer un fonds thématique dédié pour soutenir l’industrie verte en Europe intégrant by-design une stratégie d'impact de 1er plan. 🙏 Nous souhaitons tout particulièrement remercier Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, Bpifrance et le groupe Veolia pour leur soutien.   💡Avec ce fonds GTI I (labellisé Tibi), nous investirons dans 15 à 20 startups avec des 1ers montants allant de 3 à 10M€ dans les secteurs de l’énergie, de la chimie et des matériaux, de l'agriculture et l’alimentation ainsi que de la mobilité. Cette première étape franchie nous a permis de réaliser un premier investissement. 🛡 Axeleo Capital (AXC) 10th Edition of the European Cybersecurity Index 🇪🇺 As 2024 came to an end, here are the key insights from the European cybersecurity sector, including notable trends from the entire year and Q4 2024. 📉 Funding and Deal Volume Decline in 2024 The European cybersecurity market faced a challenging year. Deal activity dropped significantly, with 113 deals closed, representing a 35% decline from 173 in 2023. Funding mirrored this trend, falling 35% to €721M, down from €1.115B in 2023. After a sharp decline in H1, H2 funding levels followed the typical seasonal pattern, rebounding in Q4 but remaining below 2023 levels. 🇬🇧 The UK Maintains Leadership in Deals, 🇫🇷 France Takes the Lead in Funding The United Kingdom maintained its position as the leader in deal activity, closing 35 deals and raising €155M. However, this was a notable drop from €412M and 50 deals in 2023. France, on the other hand, experienced significant growth, raising €203.5M (+142% YoY) from 12 deals, up from 9 in 2023. This included two major deals in Q4: Filigran secured €32.3M in Series A funding to advance its open-source cybersecurity solutions. Stoïk raised €25M in Series B funding to expand its insurance and risk management solutions for SMEs. ☁️ Top categories Cloud Security and Threat and Actor Intelligence were the most active categories in 2024, each accounting for 12% of all deals. AI/ML Security & Compliance closely followed, rounding out the top three with 11%. 🚀 The Biggest Rounds of 2024 🇫🇷 Zama secured €75M in Series A funding to advance its innovative privacy-preserving blockchain and AI technologies. 🇮🇪 Tines raised €46.7M in a Series B round aimed at enhancing security workflow management, streamlining automation for security teams. 🇳🇱 Eye Security closed a €36M Series B round, offering SMEs an all-in-one cybersecurity service tailored to their needs. In Q4, 🇫🇷 Filigran attracted €32.3M in Series A funding to further the development of open-source cybersecurity tools. 📊 Q4 2024: A Seasonal Rebound Q4 followed the typical year-end rebound trend, with €175.8M raised across 33 deals. This was a significant recovery from Q3’s €102.3M across 15 deals.
