Made in France ! The 10th patient has been successfully implanted with the Aeson Carmat Total Artificial Heart (TAH) at the Lille Heart Lung Institute (Lille University Hospital). We are very proud to have performed the 100th implantation in the history of the Aeson TAH. Since the end of 2020, 10 patients have received the Aeson TAH. Three have been successfully transplanted and are doing well at home. Five outpatients are still waiting for heart transplants. One has now been supported for more than 450 days, living 120 km away from our center. Two patients are still in the postoperative period in the ward. 🌟 We are proud to announce that we have achieved the milestone of 100 implants of Aeson® artificial heart. 🌟 ✅ The 99th and 100th implants were successfully performed on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Lille and Dijon university hospitals. They were carried out simultaneously, respectively by the teams of André Vincentelli and Olivier Bouchot, as part of the EFICAS clinical study in France. ✅ Since early 2024, the pace of implants has accelerated sharply leading to 50 additional implants performed in just over a year.
