It has been such an inspiring and refreshing experience to compete for the new museum of Architecture & Design of #Helsinki! The new museum is a key part of the revitalization of the city's harbour district, transforming the waterfront into an active and attractive public space. We imagined a dynamic form that opens the building to the city, a habitable roof connected to a park, and an undulating glass envelope that references the sea. The central, fluid space acts as an urban agora, fostering social interaction and accessibility, while the museum becomes a platform for innovation and dialogue… Congratulations and good luck to the finalists, selected among 623 competitors! [JURY] For the second time in a row, Nayla Mecattaf was honored to be a member of the jury of the Women Architects Awards. We are pleased to support this award, which aims to reward the work and achievements of inspiring women and give confidence to young female architects!   Congratulations to the 4 winners of the 12th edition : Young Woman Architect 2024 is awarded to Margaux Puech-Pelipenko for her work. The Original Work Prize 2024 is awarded to Beatriz Ramo - STAR strategies architecture for her housing project « Start » in Ivry -Sur-Seine. The 2024 International Prize goes to Sara de GILES DUBOIS (Spain) for her work.   [ EVENT ] What an inspiring week in London and Paris at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) 2024 Conference “New or Renew” !   We were delighted to meet up, discuss and share with colleagues on How to make tall buildings more sustainable and desirable!   Our Odyssey project received an Award of Excellence (Future Project), in recognition of its innovative and responsible approach, in terms of mixed-use, intensity of use and reversibility. Nayla Mecattaf (CroMe Studio) and Charles RAGONS (Praemia REIM) presented the project to a jury and received the award along with Jean-Luc Crochon (Cro&Co Architecture), Rodia Valladares Sánchez (Studio Gang), Antoine HABILLAT and Morgane Koenig (ORFEO Développement).   Jean-Luc Crochon presented a conference about “Renew the Vertical Model in France”, highlighting the specificities of the French context and the avenues for innovation in high-rise construction.   Nayla Mecattaf had the pleasure to chair a session dedicated to “Resilient and Smart Urban Development: Global Innovations” with the panelists Boon Khai Tan (JTC), Jay Shah (Kaizen AI), Alexander Simon (archimatika) and Hans Ferdinand Degraeuwe (DEGRAEUWE CONSULTING).   It was a honor to end the week in Paris with all CTBUH delegates in our Trinity Tower. The morning session was chaired by Jean-Luc Crochon, the architect of the tower, and Nayla Mecattaf animated the panel discussion with Pierre-Yves Guice (Paris La Défense), Vincent JEAN-PIERRE (Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield) and Franck Boutté .   Thanks to the CTBUH team, who made this event possible, especially its president Javier Quintana de Una, Antony Wood, Ph.D, Steven Henry, Daniel Safarik, Tracie Moxley, Gabriela Barrera , and the French Chapter, Dienstag Ariane, Philippe Honorat, Lucien Wedzikowski, Amaury Leroy.

[TEAM] Après un début d'année riche en projets et en surprises, Cro&Co Architecture et CroMe Studio prennent quelques semaines de vacances… Ce début d’année a vu, entre autres, la livraison des nouvelles connexions du CNIT Eole, le démarrage des chantiers du Quai d’Austerlitz et de Suresnes, la Tour Trinity 100% louée à La Défense, un Award d’Excellence du CTBUH décerné au projet Odyssey, de nombreux concours en France et en Suisse avec CroMe Studio, la poursuite de nos réflexions sur la verticalité en parallèle de nos projets de restructuration aux programmes variés, des conférences à Paris et Milan, et de passionnants entretiens menés avec d’architectures, Les Echos, CADRE DE VILLE SAS, Business Immo …   L’occasion de se réunir en équipe pour un diner d’été au GrandCoeur, au cœur de l’hôtel Berlize, hôtel particulier parisien du 17ème siècle. Après la Tour Trinity élue meilleur immeuble de bureaux de grande hauteur 2022, et la Tour Silex2 qui remporte en 2023 le prix STRUCTURE AWARD 🏢🥇, c’est au tour du projet Odyssey de briller en 2024 en remportant un Award of Excellence dans la catégorie Future Project ! ✨ Odyssey, un des projets les plus importants de l’histoire de Paris La Défense ! Un complexe « résolument urbain et humain » de près de 140 000 mètres carrés mêlant des #bureaux, un #hôtel, de l’#hébergement et des #commerces. Le projet précurseur lancé par Primonial REIM France s’inscrit dans « la stratégie territoriale et durable » de Paris La Défense et entend repousser les limites des standards actuels en matière d’#architecture et de #construction. Un projet composé de trois tours : « O/ », « D/ » et « C/ ». La tour « O/ » a été imaginée par Jean-Luc Crochon, le fondateur de Cro&Co Architecture, à l'origine de Trinity. La tour « D/ », conçue par Nayla Mecattaf de CroMe Studio, s'élève à 95 mètres de hauteur avec ses duplex, balcons, loggias et surtout son usage évolutif co-working/coliving. La tour « C/ », a été réalisée par deux architectes/ 2 agences : Jeanne Gang de l'agence Studio Gang et Nayla Mecattaf de Crome Studio. Elle dominera le complexe du haut de ses 190 mètres, 42 étages encerclés d’un balcon filant alliant des largeurs évolutives et un design de "vague". L’approche environnementale innovante vise les labels et certifications d’excellence : #HQE Bâtiment Durable, #BREEAM WELL, #R2S et #WIREDSCORE.
