At ENGIE, #innovation, #technology and #digital are key to helping us accelerate the #energytransition and optimize the performance of our assets. At Viva Technology, we are highlighting this strong link between our strategy, existing innovative technologies and the positive impact they can have on our business.
➡ In #renewables: With Raptor Maps — Solar Software, an advanced software platform that has been part of the ENGIE New Ventures portfolio for the past year, and whose data modeling capabilities enable us to improve the operational efficiency of our #solar power plants around the world by quickly identifying potential defects.
Or through the #agrivoltaisme Camelia innovation, a photovoltaic hedge system, tested in partnership with INRAE, which meets the expectations of farmers and growers by enabling the land to preserve its agricultural vocation while paving the way for the production of renewable energy.
➡ In energy solutions: With the use of drones equipped with infrared thermal cameras that can quickly detect heat loss in #heatingnetworks, enabling them to be easily repaired and thus improve their performance. We are also working on a pioneering solution to optimize district heating and cooling systems through HeatVentors #startup, an intelligent thermal battery which is revolutionizing thermal #energystorage.
➡ In our flexibility assets: The redox-flow #battery, an innovative technology with a storage capacity that is naturally several hours, represents a potential alternative to lithium-ion batteries. ENGIE is already committed to using this more easily recyclable battery at several pilot sites.
➡ In infrastructures: Particularly around #biomethane with CryoCollect SAS, a #startup that has perfected a biomethane liquefaction process and developed a highly efficient CO2 capture technology for units that has an impact on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and enables bioCO2 to be valorized in various forms. With Wase, we are also maximizing #biogas production through a technology that increases the amount of methane generated from biomass by 30%, including from previously untreatable waste streams.
👏🏼 Thank you to all the teams and experts involved on our stand to demonstrate the concrete impact of innovation and technology. #VivaTech #WithENGIE
