Yesterday, November 26th, Da Vinci Labs and La Fabrique du Futur co-organised the second edition of the Da Vinci Dialogues: Deep Tech for a Desirable Future! The event hosted by the ISC Paris Campus featured exceptional speakers to explore the transformative power of deeptech innovations and One Health. This holistic approach addresses the interconnected health of humans, animals, and the environment. By integrating these areas, we can better address global challenges like #climatechange, #pandemics, and #foodsecurity, making it a vital framework for sustainable innovation and future well-being. In the first session, Quentin Voituron 🌳 from AXA Climate, a coordinating partner in the SWIFTT Project, explained the importance of forests and how satellite imagery can support forest managers in containing windthrow or wildfires and protecting forest health. The second session featured Luc Henry from Limula, technical lead of the PAT4CGT Project, explaining how CAR-T cells work and how to overcome one of the biggest challenges for their widespread adoption in therapy: manufacturing. Limula’s bioreactor aims to disrupt cell therapy manufacturing, and the team is nailing it! The third speaker, Krisztian Benyo, Ph.D., from Pasqal, a partner in the EQUALITY Project, provided insights on how quantum computing can drive breakthroughs in solving complex industrial problems that can reduce our environmental impact. Finally, we had a fantastic discussion spotlighting cutting-edge innovations and sustainable growth strategies for the future of European deep tech. The panel featured Rainbow Lo, PhD (Hello Tomorrow), Hickmah Tagaully (Council of European BioRegions - CEBR & Medicen Paris Region), Simon Maechling (Bayer & LifeHub Lyon), and Brune Ribadeau Dumas (KIMPA - Impact Investing), moderated by Nadège Grabowski PhD.
