📸 What an empowering #TodayatApple session yesterday! We were thrilled to welcome back Dysturb a collective of photojournalists using powerful visual storytelling to highlight important social issues. This time, we celebrated their #CHAMPIONNES initiative, shining a spotlight on women in sports and their incredible, often untold, journeys. To mark Dysturb's 10th anniversary and coincide with the Coal+Ice exhibition at the Asia Society Museum, the #ReframeClimate exhibition comes to Pier57 and Chelsea Market in NYC from April 2- May 30, 2024. #Reframeclimate is an initiative Dysturb and the Magnum Foundation created during the 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference to activate public space by placing large-scale photographs around the city. Each pasted image includes an interactive prompt, which allows the viewer to hear the story behind the image directly from their phone. Proud of our latest educational project in France, #Championnes. As part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Dysturb launched a journalism and multimedia workshop tailored for women, focusing on covering sports. Teaming up with our partner, Collectif item, we provided training for 13 young women from Lyon, St-Etienne, and their neighboring areas. Many thanks to Saint-Étienne Métropole, Métropole de Lyon, Adobe and CatchLight for your support! 👏

A few years in the making, so glad this photo student exchange program between Ecole nationale supérieure Louis Lumière and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and Dysturb finally came to fruition in Paris and NYC!

I would be remiss if I didn't thank and acknowledge the phenomenal group of organizations that partnered with me in organizing the "Cultural Lenses and Biases: Unraveling Narratives in Visual Storytelling" panel as part of CatchLight's, Dysturb, and Fondation Carmignac "Night of Photojournalism" in conjuction with www.photosaintgermain.com Producing this event was a labor of love. Although family obligations prevented me from attending and moderating the panel, I cheered them on virtually! A special thanks goes to the participating panelists.
