Primordial Earth is one of the recipients of the 2024 Talia Transformation Fund grant! Artist Léonard Pongo conducts visual research through mixed-media installations that forge a dialogue with Congolese traditions, symbols, and philosophies rooted in the land - land that possesses its own autonomous character, and carries its own will and power. Intertwining the medium - full-spectrum cameras that explore the nuances of invisible light - with the act of roaming the exhibition space, Léonard interrogates the boundaries of imagery and perception, depicting a land that exists both as a tangible entity and as a construct of its people's collective dreams. About us
We are an incubator and production agency based in New York City. We are former journalists. Our workflows are designed to help young artists tell their stories effectively and to help them reach the widest audience possible. At our core, we are driven by a love for Caribbean, African, and Southeast Asian art and culture. We believe that the media industry today often flattens stories from these regions, and the most nuanced and impactful films are led by local artists. We partner with today’s storytellers and offer the support they need to create truly great works of documentary and cinema. We seize on the latest technologies to bring timely stories FROM all parts of the world TO all parts of the world.

Access to Maternal Healthcare is one of the 2024 winners of the Talia Transformation Fund grant! Ayün Fotógrafas’ inspired project takes an expansive look at “Access to Maternal Healthcare”. As the United States becomes more restrictive, Latin America has led to groundbreaking advancements for gender justice. Understanding that a lack of abortion access often reflects broader gaps in maternal healthcare, this project goes beyond polarizing conversations to show the effects that maternal healthcare has on society. Conceived, developed, and executed by eight photographers and Visual Storytellers — many of them mothers— under the umbrella of their collective Ayün, the project intersects with issues like climate change, racism, and inequality, while highlighting how communities are addressing reproductive injustice with innovative solutions. Introducing the 2024 winners of the Talia Transformation Fund (TTF) grant! The documentary practice is evolving and the recipients of our first-ever TTF grant are proof that new approaches create innovative works. Interweaving elements like collective storytelling and historical memory, these projects dig deeper into the human experience. Check out them out below: Access to Maternal Healthcare in Latin America - As Latin America advances gender justice, Ayün Fotógrafas, a collective of eight photographers united by Latin America, explores the impact of abortion access and how it reflects broader gaps in maternal healthcare. It moves beyond the immediate abortion debate, showing how maternal healthcare shapes society, and highlights how communities are addressing reproductive injustice with innovative solutions. Primordial Earth - Léonard Pongo uses mixed-media installations that resonate with the rich cultural heritage of Congolese traditions, deeply rooted in the land and the narratives of its people. By merging the medium - full-spectrum cameras that explore the nuances of invisible light - and the physical process of roaming the space, Pongo forges a dialogue with a landscape that possesses its own autonomous character, and carries its own will and power. We’re thrilled to support these works in progress and look forward to their development. Be sure to follow along on Instagram or subscribe to our newsletter for updates!
