GoodBrew, a Kildare-based beverages business, expects to be oversubscribed for its €500,000 funding round which is due to close early next year. The company was founded by spouses Deirdra Schroeder and Jeffery Schroeder in 2022, with the pair the sole full-time employees at present. Amara Therapeutics, the medtech company based in Galway, has closed a €1.8 million funding round backed by Enterprise Ireland. The latest funding, will allow the company founded in 2021 by Brendan Staunton, Emma Carr, PhD and Geoff Cundiff to commercialise its digital platform aimed at treating a condition called overactive bladder (OAB). New Zealand and Ireland-based start-up Marama Labs has opened a new life sciences applications lab at Dublin City University’s (DCU) innovation campus, DCU Alpha. The company also announced that it has secured €2m in funding to support the expansion of its upcoming product, CloudSpec.
