What is a City-to-City Exchanges❓ We allow cities to exchange with one or two cities of their choice on specific policy challenges related to sustainable urban development within Cohesion Policy. These exchanges aim to enhance capacity through peer learning. Urban practitioners sharing knowledge with the applicant cities. Up to 3️⃣ visits within five months, choosing to either travel to a peer city or host them. Each visit lasts between two to five days. 🌍 Are you struggling with isolated neighbourhoods, underused public spaces or lacking community connections? 🇮🇹 Rome has found a way to tackle these challenges with the We-Z project, which focuses on reclaiming illegally occupied spaces in the neighbourhood of Vigne Nuove, transforming them into hubs for public services and community activities. By fostering collaboration, co-designing public spaces, and reconnecting the neighbourhood with the rest of the city, the project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive urban environment while addressing social and mental health issues.
