[A (RE)LIRE] La 13ème Réunion GABRIEL a réuni, du 27 au 29 novembre 2024 à Les Pensières - Center for Global Health (France), plus de 80 représentants des laboratoires membres du réseau scientifique international pour présenter les résultats de leurs travaux de recherche collaborative et concevoir de nouveaux projets au sein du réseau. Cette réunion internationale est une occasion unique pour les scientifiques de se réunir, leur offrant les conditions idéales pour partager leurs informations et faire avancer la dynamique du réseau. https://lnkd.in/eBJFBuCJ --- The 13th GABRIEL Meeting, held from November 27 to 29, 2024 at Les Pensières Center for Global Health, brought together over 80 representatives of the international scientific network's member laboratories to present the results of their collaborative research and design new projects within the network. This international meeting is a unique opportunity for scientists to get together, offering them the ideal conditions for sharing information and furthering the network's dynamics.

[✨ Meilleurs Vœux / Best Wishes 2025] Cette année 2024 a illustré l’expertise et la place de la Fondation sur le terrain face à la menace infectieuse, notamment autour de la tuberculose, contre le fléau majeur de la résistance aux antimicrobiens, mais également dans le besoin de renforcer les capacités de diagnostic, du laboratoire de référence au centre de santé primaire. En dépit des difficultés à opérer, le constat que nous faisons de l’augmentation des besoins nous pousse à consolider les acquis de la Fondation Mérieux, mais également à poursuivre notre développement. Dans ce monde mouvant, complexe et parfois imprévisible, nous sommes profondément reconnaissants envers nos partenaires, opérationnels et financiers, qui, année après année, nous permettent de déployer nos activités. Je veux dire par ailleurs ma fierté et mon admiration à tous les collaborateurs de la Fondation, portés par la mission qui est la nôtre. Despite the difficulties we face in our operations, the growing needs we are seeing push us to consolidate what we have achieved at the Mérieux Foundation and continue to develop. Le cours défend la valeur de l’approche « Une seule santé » pour lutter contre la résistance aux #antimicrobiens, l'une des principales menaces pour la santé publique mondiale et le développement. 🇬🇧 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐌𝐑 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 Let’s take a lookback at the fifth edition of the Advanced Course on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), organized in partnership with Université Paris Cité, from November 11 to 15 at Les Pensières Center for Global Health (France). The course promotes the value of the "One Health" approach to combating antimicrobial resistance, one of the major threats to global public health and development.

C’est la philosophie de la Fondation Mérieux. » Alain Mérieux En marge de l’inauguration de l’Académie de l’OMS et dans le cadre du Festival de la Santé Mondiale, nous avons organisé une conférence réunissant des experts internationaux pour discuter des objectifs définis par les chefs d’État lors de la dernière Assemblée United Nations en matière de lutte contre la résistance aux antimicrobiens, une menace croissante pour la santé publique mondiale. Au fil de la conférence, un message central est ressorti : seule une action collective et coordonnée permettra de répondre à cette crise mondiale. 🙌 Retenons l’appel de Yukiko Nakatani, sous-directrice générale de l’OMS, pour plus de collaboration afin d’atteindre les objectifs fixés en septembre dernier lors de l’Assemblée générale des Nations unies : « la solidarité est cruciale. Il faut surmonter les barrières politiques et l’incertitude. Over the course of the conference, one central message emerged: only collective and coordinated action will make it possible to respond to this global crisis. WHO Assistant Director-General Yukiko Nakatani called for greater collaboration to achieve the goals set last September at the United Nations General Assembly: “Solidarity is crucial. Political barriers and uncertainty must be overcome. 🌍 It was also a privilege for me to give a welcoming message in the Arbovirus Meeting “Today’s Challenges in Combating Arboviral Diseases” held from December 2-4 at Les Pensières Center for Global Health. This crucial event, organized by the Mérieux Foundation complementary to the World Health Organization Global Arbovirus Initiative (GLAI), brought together leading experts to address the increasing burden of arboviral diseases. Over two days, it was discussed the implementation of GLAI in the global, regional, and national contexts, as well as state-of-the-art approaches to arbovirus surveillance, diagnosis, prevention, case managements, and Intergrated vector management. A heartfelt thank you to the Fondation Mérieux for their unwavering support and dedication to global health issues.
