GenerationAI Conferences a republié ceci
🌟How to make an AI conference from good to absolutely great? By not limiting it to the tech aspects of AI! That's what GenerationAI Conferences succeeded in yesterday. 👩🏫Of course, AI needs gradient descent, GPU power, training epocs, fine-tuning, knowledge distillation, loss function optimization and so many other tech stuffs. But AI also needs: 🧠Psychology - do we love LLMs because they are confirming our own confirmation biases? 📚 Literature - how writing can help us imagine what we want and what we do not want from our AI use? 💭 Philosophy - is AI at our service, by providing data insights on our life (after all, we can only improve what we measure) or are we at the service of AI, feeding the tech giants with every aspe cts of our life? 🚨 Politics - does hyperpersonalisation pushed by AI should reflect on public policies? 🌳 Environmental sciences - is AI always worth its environmental costs? Can AI help us fight climate change? No definitive answers, but passionate debates sparkled by first classe speakers! Alain Damasio Djalel Benbouzid Arnaud Auger Gilles Babinet Damien Douani François Houste.... And the tech talks were also reflecting all the diversity of AI - amazing GenAI Speech to speech demo by Andrés Marafioti, computer vision with Sonia TABTI, William Eldin, and of couse, a great track about on-device AI where I contributed between with Loubna Ben Allal and George Tsirtsis. 💯 It was not just a conference, but a true agora, where every voice was welcomed. Tech needs more of this kind of events, and especially AI. Hats off to mehdi medjaoui and Margaux Pelen for the flawless organization! Science, today as ever, does need conscience! PS - My favorite quote of the day in the pictures!
