[#WorldSoilDay] Empowering Sustainable Agriculture with Soil Microbial Genomics 🌱🌎   On this World Soil Day, we celebrate the hidden champions of sustainability: soil microorganisms. These microscopic organisms play a crucial role in carbon sequestration, nutrient cycling, soil structure and fertility, and fostering resilient ecosystems, making them indispensable for sustainable agriculture and ecosystem health.   At GenoScreen, we combine innovative solutions with rigorous workflows to scientifically and accurately decode soil microbiome. GenoScreen now complies with Regulation (EU) 2019/829, enabling us to import and analyse soil samples from outside the EU. [#news] 📢 Exciting news for leprosy treatment. De Jong’s team at Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp (Antwerp, Belgium) has recently published promising Phase 2 trial results in PLOS Medicine, highlighting the safety of a preventive treatment combining bedaquiline and rifampicin for leprosy. In line with this progress, we at GenoScreen (Lille, France) have integrated the atpE gene - a key resistance marker for bedaquiline in M. leprae - into our diagnostic assay, Deeplex® Myc-Lep.
