📸 Take pictures, help aviation get cleaner 🛩 🌳 You know RISE’s mission is to make aviation more efficient and more green. One of our pet projects is to push for better understanding and the avoidance of contrails. ⛅ Contrails are those white vapour clouds are generated by airplanes in certain conditions (cold, humid air) and which have a very significant impact on global warming. 📢 GOOD NEWS: most of these contrails can be avoided by changing the flight trajectory, which results in less than 1% extra fuel consumption. 📢📢 MORE GOOD NEWS: you too have an opportunity to support the research on contrails by taking a picture every time you spot them. This will help train the predictions models (yes, this too is #AI). Flying on hydrogen. With a range of 1800 miles and 90 passengers on board”. What’s next in AI? 👉 “Intelligent agents. Imagine an assistant that helps you fly the aircraft, keeps you trained, helps with maintenance tasks… an assistant that is so much smarter than you!” Does the human still have a role to play? 👉 “Of course. The human needs to keep the final say. Think of the 737 Max crashes” Is technology here to support safety or performance? 👉 “Both of course. By streamlining safety tasks, one generates efficiencies”. European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) enables us to exhibit at AIROPS, the tradeshow that brings together all air and ground ops professionals, and allows us to actively collaborate with fellow innovators in the Tech Committee. The Air Charter Association membership helps extend our reach to a wide network of European professionals and brings this network together at the wonderful Air Charter Expo every September. We've recently joined National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), which has facilitated our participation at EBACE and will be crucial for RISE's future development overseas.
