SMART-AQ 🌎 Satellite Monitoring of Aerosols for Reliable Tracking of Air Quality https://lnkd.in/ejkT9UuB From November 27-28, our team participated in the 2nd EO Commercialisation Forum meeting in Frankfurt 🇩🇪 to introduce our latest collaboration with the European Space Agency - ESA: the SMART-AQ project. The project aims to develop an innovative methodology for monitoring air quality by delivering PM2.5-PM10 global coverage with 5 revisits per day. It integrates two key technologies —the GRASP algorithm and the GAPMAP constellation— to enable the development of comprehensive diagnostics for downstream applications on emitting industries, mining, smart cities, and municipalities. APOLO 2024: Advancing POLarimetric Observations 🛰️ https://lnkd.in/evXeBPkx Recently, on 18-21 November, we participated in the #APOLO meeting, taking place in the historic city of Kyoto, in Japan 🇯🇵. It was 4th meeting of the APOLO workshop series that is focused on the development and application of #polarimetric technologies. It addresses critical topics such as instrument innovation, calibration techniques, and advancements in retrieval methods for better understanding and monitoring of Earth's atmosphere 🌎 It was a remarkable event that provided not only a unique opportunity to interact with leading scientists from worldwide institutions and Space agencies but also to meet such legends of our community as Professor Terry Nakajima and Brent N. Holben. The experience was also culturally enriching and a very warm social and recreational event for our team.
