🦉 ICARE’s 2024 in Review: Gratitude and Progress 🔍 📈 As 2024 comes to a close, we are celebrating ICARE’s incredible journey since our launch on 8 October 2024. In less than three months, we’ve accomplished so much together: 📚 Our first Contemporary Issues in Animal Rights Law (CIARL) online course, starting 11 January 2025, is fully booked with 30 participants! 🎓 We are proud to have awarded 18 full scholarships, prioritising participants in financial need, particularly from the Majority World. 💼 ICARE is entirely volunteer-run, powered by an amazing team of 19 volunteers from around the globe, each contributing their unique skills to recognising and enforcing animals’ legal rights. 🔬 Our researchers have begun work on 3 innovative projects that aim to bring new insights and solutions for the recognition of animals' legal rights. 🌍 In just under three months, our mission is already supported by nearly 2500 followers, with about half on LinkedIn alone—thank you for believing in our work! 🤝 2 new partnerships with World Animal Justice and Hive, advancing advocacy for animals and building capacity to create meaningful change! 💰 We’ve secured 3 grants this year, providing critical financial support for our initiatives. We’re especially excited about our latest grant, which we hope to make official soon! 🧑🏫 A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team of academics and practitioners who are making our CIARL course a reality this January.
