Stay tuned on the upcoming scientific paper on pumped-storage hydropower in the European Union, soon available, with considerations on energy storage capacity in hydropower reservoirs and future potential! Some results of the 2024 hydropower release will be presented already at #hydro2024 in Graz in the coming days at my speech on Wednesday, organized by Aqua~Media International Ltd (The International Journal on Hydropower & Dams), and were partially discussed at the Slovenian Parliament on Friday where I joined as speaker, event organized by SLOCOLD - Slovenian National Committee on Large Dams and Slovenian Academy of Engineering (IAS). A big thanks to the coauthors and colleagues who have made this project possible: Aliki Georgakaki, Simon LETOUT, Aikaterini Mountraki, Ela Ince, Juan Gea Bermúdez, Nigel Taylor, Thomas Schleker, Giulia Serra, Christian Thiel, Vangelis Tzimas, and Daniela Anghileri who reviewed the report.
