Call for Applications: EPWG Online Summer School "Dissonant Heritage" Dear colleagues, dear friends and Emerging Professionals, Under the title 'Dissonant Heritage,' the Emerging Professionals Working Group of ICOMOS Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, and Sweden, with the support of the ICOMOS University Forum, is organizing its third Online School. This will take place on September 21st, 22nd, and 28th, 2024 in virtual space. This workshop will delve into key aspects of heritage theory and practice, including the protection, conservation, and management of heritage sites. Participants will explore ways to present dissonant heritage, manage and navigate conflicting interpretations, and foster a multivocal and peaceful consideration of these complex issues. The aim is to create an open dialogue platform where emerging professionals can share experiences and strategies for handling dissonant heritage, especially in contexts of armed conflicts, colonial domination and legacies of colonialism, dictatorship, and discrimination. La Charte internationale sur la conservation et la restauration des monuments et des sites, dite charte de Venise, est un ensemble d'orientations qui fournit un cadre international pour la préservation et la restauration des objets et des bâtiments anciens. Comme vous le savez, 18 Avril 2024, nous célébrerons au plan international, la Journée Internationale des Monuments et Sites sous le thème: "Catastrophes et conflits à travers le prisme de la Charte de Venise" sous l'égide du Conseil international des monuments et des sites (ICOMOS).
