📅 A look back at last week's European Dairy Association (EDA) annual convention in Rome, where discussions centred on the crucial theme of ‘Dairy: Next generation’. In his opening speech, Emmanuel Besnier, Lactalis CEO pointed out that the dairy industry is now at a crossroads. “We can be collectively proud of the growth of the dairy sector over the last 50 years, but our sector is facing major challenges. The rest of the world is not waiting for the European dairy sector, which is weakening to the benefit of other global economic players supported by an economic and regulatory environment that favours the emergence of opportunities and the creation of value! Several fundamental building blocks are essential for a successful transition to the new generation of the European dairy industry, based on competitiveness, profitability, sustainability, contribution to environmental protection, and on the preservation of dairy sovereignty: ▶️ consistent promotion of dairy products by Europe's private and public players, ▶️ a stable economic and regulatory environment, ▶️ a genuine strategic vision for agriculture and food, eagerly awaited following the Report of the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of European Agriculture in July 2024. Over the past 50 years, the dairy companies have collectively played a part in the transformation of the European dairy industry, helping to develop their production, and contributing to the evolution of eating habits through healthier nutritional models and tasty, accessible dairy products. They are helping the dairy industry to make the transition to a healthier environment, and to meet the expectations of citizens and consumers. The foundation of this success should enable dairy companies to tackle the major challenges facing them, and to remain competitive. They will be able to rely on their strengths: exceptional dairy products and the essential role they play in rural areas in economic, social, and demographic terms.” #NextGenEUDairy #Dairy #Lactalis #NurturingTheFuture

👏 International Recognition for the “Justiceiras” Initiative in Brazil We are proud to announce that the Justiceiras initiative, driven by our colleagues in Brazil, has been recognized by the International Dairy Federation (IDF) in Women in Dairy Report – Empowering Global Impact. 🔎 The “Justiceiras” project aims to support women experiencing domestic violence by providing crucial assistance and resources. Operated entirely by volunteers, the initiative has expanded nationwide, leveraging Lactalis UHT milk cartons to publicize its support channel and reach vulnerable victims across Brazil effectively. To raise awareness, this campaign reached millions through QR codes on over 200 million bottles of Lactalis UHT milk, giving direct access to support resources. Since its launch, Justiceiras has documented 229 cases of violence, with 111 classified as serious. Through this impactful partnership, Lactalis Brazil aims to uphold women’s rights and foster a safer environment for families and society at large. Congratulations on this meaningful, socially responsible initiative! #LactalisBrazil #Solidarity #SocialImpact 👉 For more information: https://lnkd.in/g7FmT5a2

💡 Cybersecurity: a strategic priority at Lactalis! Did you know that Lactalis manages an impressive wallet of 2800 domain names? With such a large scale, protection against cyberattacks becomes crucial. During the 2024 Conference, Paul Lemesle, Information Systems Security Manager, highlighted the protection measures we have introduced. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC aren't just complex acronyms; They are at the heart of our strategy to secure our emails and protect our brand from phishing. Thanks to these efforts, 80% of our domains are now secured by a DMARC rejection policy, significantly reducing the risk of fraud. These measures are not only technical, they are an integral part of our commitment to providing a safe environment for our employees and customers. Protecting our brand and operations from cyber threats is an ongoing challenge. The perseverance of our teams demonstrates our commitment to safety and excellence. #Cybersecurity #Lactalis #Innovation
