[New Business Annoucement] Latitude and Germany-based space logistics provider ATMOS Space Cargo agree on a Multi-Year Launch Deal for Life Science Missions, live from Space Tech Expo Europe 🤝📄🚀✅ Under this deal, Atmos Space Cargo secures a minimum of 5 dedicated launches per year on #Zephyr between 2028 and 2032, to transport its Phoenix re-entry vehicles into Very Low Earth orbit (VLEO) ⏫🚀⏫ This collaboration paves the way for diverse and impactful applications supporting critical advancements in #LifeSciences and #Biomedical research 🧬🧪🔬 We look forward to exploring this new agreement leveraging the high cadence #DedicatedLaunch capabilities allowed by Zephyr with Atmos' unique infrastructure for #InOrbitExperimentation and safe payload return. #BeyondBoundaries #LatitudeLaunches

[Logbook entry: 18/11/2024] Major human & technological challenge accomplished! Our first in-house rocket engine #Turbopump is assembled and ready for testing 🤩🔩✅🤩   In just under 2 years, Latitude has achieved a significant milestone by conceiving and assembling our very first RP1/LOx Turbopump —a feat not accomplished in France for decades 🇫🇷 This success is not just about speed, but about overcoming immense technical challenges as our Fluids & Propulsion System team, starting from a blank slate, designed the turbopump entirely in-house. Along the way, they upskilled tremendously, dealing with #FluidDynamics #Mechanics, and #Thermal engineering to navigate the extreme physical constraints involved 📈🌡️🦾   The assembly process, coordinated by our Production & Integration team in collaboration with Fluids & Propulsion System, was particularly complex, requiring multiple iterations with industrial partners to ensure each component aligned perfectly with the design…and this was anything but easy 😅 This demanded a high level of pragmatism and versatility from our teams, who rose to the challenge of orchestrating every stage of the process ✅   The internal development of this #TurboMachinery expertise now represents a strategic competitive advantage for Latitude. It gives us full control over Zephyr’s #Propulsion system, allowing our #Launcher to be more flexible and affordable to a variety of #SmallSats launch missions ⬆️🛰️⬆️ And for this, we’d like to extend our gratitude to all the teams involved, as well as the institutions actively supporting us, including LIFSE Laboratory, Centre National d'Études Spatiales and Bpifrance 🙏   🔜 Stay tuned for the next phase as we begin our #TestsCampaign at our Research & Test facility in XCR Airport.
