We are entering an exciting phase at ATMOS Space Cargo. During a busy time, we had the honor of hosting key public figures such as Dr. Patrick Rapp, State Secretary, and a distinguished delegation as part of their "Sommerreise." Their visit to our Lichtenau workshop highlighted Baden-Württemberg’s dynamic aerospace sector, and we proudly showcased our #PHOENIX return capsule and vision for sustainable space re-entry technology 🌍. As we push towards our next milestone — becoming one of the first private entities to achieve space re-entry — we are grateful for the region’s strong ecosystem of science, politics, and innovation supporting our mission. The demand for research in microgravity is growing and so is the importance of establishing European sovereignty in return capabilities from space. This was one of the dominant points of discussion during the visit of Daniel Caspary MdEP, member of the European Parliament and Christian Greilach, Mayor of Lichtenau. Altair is our partner for mechanical and thermal analyses. ATMOS relies on Altair's extended experience and state-of-the-art simulation tools, such as HyperMesh®, Optistruct®, or Simsolid® in order to develop PHOENIX, our orbital microgravity and reentry platform. Altair's portfolio also features many other tools we will test and exploit in the near future. ATMOS is a part of Altair's Ad Astra Aerospace and Defence accelerator program. Their team in Munich provides us not only with a flexible simulation environment, but also with tailored expertise and training. In 2023, our company’s foundation has been made possible - together with other investors - through a regional German investment initiative of MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg GmbH. In the presence of Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economy, Labor and Tourism for Baden-Württemberg, the association announced its newest BW Seed Fonds with a total volume of EUR 12.5M to further growth in the region. Being part of this as the fund's initial investment dating back to last year makes us proud.
