Reducing Norwegian salmon's carbon footprint with sustainable innovation 🌱 As part of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, Lerøy, in collaboration with EWOS, has decided to introduce chicken by-products as an ingredient in fish feed. This significant step contributes to reducing the environmental impact of Norwegian salmon by lowering the carbon footprint of our feed by up to 16%. - We are proud to be early adopters of this large-scale initiative in Norway, and we believe that we must act now to meet the challenges of the future. Through collaboration and innovation, we can find new solutions for a more sustainable seafood industry, says Head of ESG and Quality at Lerøy Seafood Group, Anne Hilde Midttveit. We are excited to announce the opening of Lerøy Korea, our new sales office in South Korea, led by Mingu Jeong. After five years of managing the Korean market from Norway, Mingu has returned home to establish and expand our presence in this dynamic, fast-evolving region 🇰🇷 Over the past two decades, demand for Norwegian salmon in Asia has skyrocketed, making it a critical growth market. With competition intensifying, being closer to our customers enables us to respond faster, strengthen relationships, and drive sustainable growth — not only for salmon but for our entire seafood portfolio. “The past six months have been an incredible journey — filled with challenges but also exciting opportunities. Moving my family, setting up the office, and navigating this transition has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being on the ground allows me to truly understand and contribute to the market we serve,” says Mingu. One of Lerøy Korea’s key priorities is introducing Norwegian fjord trout to Korean consumers. We've already made great strides, launching Lerøy fjord trout on Coupang and Market Kurly, two of Korea’s largest online platforms for fresh food. While our journey is just beginning, every step forward cements our role as pioneers of Norwegian fjord trout in Korea 🐟 #LeroySeafood #FjordTrout

Elin Kvamme’s journey with Lerøy is a story of growth, opportunity, and passion. She started at Lerøy Smögen in 2008, fresh out of secondary school, taking on what she thought would be just a summer job in the shellfish salads section. But the strong team spirit and supportive colleagues made such a lasting impression that she decided to stay on. Thanks to her dedication and hard work, Elin quickly progressed to a team leader role. Wanting to develop further, she enrolled in a business course in Gothenburg in 2011, which included a four-month internship. For Elin, the choice of where to intern was obvious—she set her sights on Lerøy’s head office in Bergen. There, she gained valuable experience in sales and logistics and learned the ins and outs of international trade. After her studies, Elin briefly explored other opportunities but always felt a connection to Lerøy. Eight years later, we were delighted to welcome her back as an Export and Product Line Manager at Lerøy Smögen. “It’s really cool that you can work your way up from production and with training get jobs that would normally require a formal education. I’m proud of that!” says Elin. Read more in Norwegian: https://lnkd.in/dgmkggY4 Read more in English: https://lnkd.in/dmiCvCYd #OneLeroy #LeroySeafood

A taste of the Arctic: King crab from Kjøllefjord 🦀 In the far north of Norway, where rugged mountains meet the pristine Arctic Ocean, lies Kjøllefjord—a small village with a big treasure. Beneath its icy waters thrives one of the ocean’s most exclusive delicacies: king crab. For over 20 years, we at Lerøy have been proud to harvest, process, and share this Arctic jewel with the world. What sets Kjøllefjord apart isn’t just the crab—it’s the community. Small fishing boats operated by local fishers bring in the catch year-round. At our state-of-the-art factory, tradition meets innovation, as advanced laser measurement and precision cooking ensure every crab meets the highest quality standards. From these fjords to Michelin-starred restaurants, our king crab has earned a reputation for excellence. But this isn’t just about seafood — it’s about impact. Lerøy's King Crab industry sustains livelihoods, accounts for 17 % of private-sector jobs in Lebesby Municipality, and fosters a vibrant, close-knit multicultural community in Kjøllefjord. From bold culinary creations like chili-marinated crab to simple yet perfect bites with lemon and mayonnaise, Kjøllefjord king crab is a canvas for flavors around the world. Thanks to our commitment to sustainability and year-round operations, this Arctic delicacy can travel from the icy waters of Kjøllefjord to dining tables in New York, Tokyo, or Paris—delivered fresh and flawless, often within just 24 hours. We’re proud to share more than a product—we’re sharing a story of Arctic nature’s bounty, the dedication of local craftsmanship, and the extraordinary flavors that connect cultures across the globe. 🌍 Read more in Norwegian: https://bit.ly/35Ade1U Read more in English: https://bit.ly/3IolMHL #LeroySeafood #KingCrab #Kjøllefjord
