During our first SFIP congress last week, I had the chance to give a 30 minutes conference discussing how Lines Manufacturing high-speed serial AM solutions can address the challenges faced by the plastics industry when launching series up to thousands of large parts per year, thanks to a dedicated serial approach supported by innovative manufacturing technologies. Along with other colleagues that day, we (re-!)emphasized the way an AM-oriented approach from the design software and the material calibration to the manufacturing solutions is key in order to gain the full potential of these technologies. Thank you to the association and to the scientific committee for setting up the event with a diverse yet valuable panel of participants.
