✍️ naïve is honored to announce its collaboration with internationally renowned soprano Sonya Yoncheva for the release of her album, GEORGE. This profoundly personal project, inspired by the life and artistic universe of George Sand, will be unveiled on January 24, 2025. As a prelude, the first single, Leoncavallo’s Nuit de décembre, is now available. About this new collaboration with naïve, Sonya Yoncheva said : “I am delighted to start working with naïve for my upcoming recital album, GEORGE, and my most recent aria album, The Courtesan. GEORGE will be released in collaboration with my own company, SY11 Events, while naïve will, from now on, be responsible for the distribution of The Courtesan. It is a great pleasure to work with the fantastic team at naïve, and I am looking forward to joining forces for these two projects that are so dear to my heart." About her new album George, Sonya Yoncheva said: “Sand has always fascinated me. She was such a multi-layered woman, who dared to be herself throughout her life. Her unconditional love for the arts was one of the first sparks that inspired me to realize this project. I was intrigued by her artistic world: her salon, her friends, and how she lived surrounded by music and art. Her many affairs, to name a few: Alfred de Musset, Frédéric Chopin, and even rumors of a fling with Franz Liszt. She had all these men around her and was incredibly close to everything they were creating. For this project, I imagined Sand's house, kitchen, and salon, with all these artists, lovers, and friends. And that is how this project was born. I wanted to bring this woman to life through my voice, through these works and melodies, also using her actual texts and thoughts, which show her vibrant nature.” Aurélia Rippe, Head of A&R at naïve classique, said: “It is an immense joy to collaborate with Sonya Yoncheva, one of the most extraordinary voices of our time. For many years, we have admired her impeccable artistry, vocal brilliance, and magnetic stage presence. We are deeply honored by her trust and are committed to providing the utmost support for the release of GEORGE, a new project that so beautifully encapsulates her artistic vision and celebrates the timeless figure of George Sand. We will also take over the distribution of The Courtesan, Sonya's last album, a true jewel gathering the most beautiful opera arias. Welcome at naïve, Dear Sonya!” Special thanks to Lora Ivanova. Congratulations to pianist Jean-Paul Gasparian whose album Origins has just been awarded a Diapason d’Or in the October issue of the French leading Classical magazine. 📝 « Here, as elsewhere, Gasparian captivates us : have these pages ever been played better since the composer himself ? {…} Jean-Paul Gasparian instills a unique blend of fragility, strangeness and determination. ✍🏻 naïve is very pleased to announce a new signing with Francesco Tristano. Known for his groundbreaking approach to classical music and his innovative fusion of classical and electronic genres, Francesco Tristano brings a unique voice to our family of artists. Francesco Tristano will release his first album with naïve, Bach: The 6 Partitas, on November 8th. The first extract from the upcoming album, Sarabande, is available everywhere. About this new collaboration, Francesco Tristano said: "The signing with Naïve (a label of Believe) is the next great chapter for my output as a recording artist. I am humbled by the trust and freedom given to me and I am looking forward tremendously to the next releases with strong focus on Bach and my own works. 2023 saw the minting of my own platform - intothefuture - today we are thrilled to continue the adventure with Believe’s inhouse label naïve and to look into the future together." Aurélia Rippe, Head of A&R at naïve classique, said: "Since many years, we have been following Francesco Tristano’s musical journey and seen him blossoming into the incredible musical personality he is known to be. Starting this long-term collaboration with such a one-of-a-kind artist represents a milestone in naïve’s history. It will lead us from the deep exploration of Bach’s music to Francesco’s own electro and jazz compositions over contemporary music. We are thrilled to celebrate this new chapter with a first album to be released on November 8. Dear Francesco, a warm welcome into the naïve & Believe family!"
