CTO & Co-Founder at Qarnot computing

I just read Hamza M.’s article , "Dreams and Wishes for HPC in 2025," and let me tell you, I couldn’t agree more. HPC has been stuck in its niche for too long. For years, high-performance computing felt exclusive—reserved for those with massive budgets, PhDs in cluster management, and the patience to navigate complex interfaces. But look around. The demand for massive compute power is everywhere. AI startups. Aerospace. Automotive. Energy. Finance. Half the world now needs what HPC engineers have been doing for decades: ▪️ Running simulations that no longer fit on a single machine. ▪️ Spreading workloads efficiently across thousands of nodes. ▪️ Optimizing performance to do more with less compute. HPC shouldn’t be reserved for the Happy Few. It shouldn’t cost a fortune to access. And it shouldn’t come at the expense of sustainability. Hamza is right. HPC needs its “Apple moment”. It’s not just about democratizing HPC—it’s about making it truly accessible. At Qarnot, we’re not just talking about this shift—we’re building it: ▪️ HPC that just works:  No IT headaches, no hidden costs— on-demand compute power accessible via web, API, SDK, or CLI. ▪️ 50% lower cost than traditional cloud HPC: Because pricing shouldn’t be a barrier to innovation. ▪️ 100% European infrastructure → No lock-ins, no sovereignty risks—just independent, secure, high-performance computing. And let’s talk architecture. The future of HPC is not just CPU vs GPU. If you want cost-effective, large-scale compute, you need a heterogeneous compute environment.  Engineers shouldn’t have to think about this complexity—the infrastructure should handle it for them. If AI engineers, climate scientists, and aerospace innovators are solving the world’s biggest challenges, they shouldn’t be slowed down by overpriced, overcomplicated, and unsustainable HPC. If you’re tired of that model, let’s talk. https://lnkd.in/eZr8WV8N Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eMawJxpG
