More IT, less energy, less carbon!

À propos

Qarnot is a french company, incorporated in 2010, providing its clients with a unique solution to drastically reduce their carbon footprint linked to their digital activities. Instead of concentrating servers in datacenters, our strategy relies on a computing power infrastructure distributed in buildings (offices, housings, public facilities, factories, warehouses) where huge amounts of heat generated by IT servers can be locally and directly valued. This alternative way brings a global and important cost, risk and carbon footprint reduction of our clients digital infrastructure compared to the traditional data center approach, especially concerning high performance computing (HPC) matters.

As Qarnot makes its debut at Slush in Helsinki, I’m excited to share how our HPC cloud platform aligns with Europe’s goals of digital sovereignty and decarbonization. In a world where sectors like HPC and AI are increasingly critical, Europe’s technological independence is essential to meet growing innovation demands while adressing environmental challenges. With over 65% of the global cloud market dominated by non-European providers, there’s an urgent need for local solutions that prioritize data sovereignty, energy efficiency, and sustainability. Qarnot’s HPC platform not only powers advanced simulations for industries like aerospace, automotive, and energy but also repurposes server heat to support local heating networks—helping our clients reduce the carbon footprint of their simulations by up to 80%. I’m looking forward to connecting with innovators, investors, and partners to discuss how HPC can help drive Europe’s goals for sustainability and digital sovereignty. Let’s connect at Slush in Helsinki from November 19 to 21. I’ll be at Booth A8 on the morning of the 21st—see you there! Thank you to Business France, Business France Nordics, CCFF (Chambre de Commerce Franco-Finlandaise) for their support!
