🚀 AI Grid for the future of #AI in Europe! 🇪🇺🤖 The European Commission makes a bold AI statement: €50 billion in new investments 💶, adding to €150 billion in private funds for the world's largest public-private AI partnership! 💡 Announced by President von der Leyen at #AIActionSummit in Paris, this initiative highlights the need for collaboration between research, industry, and startups to drive innovation and position Europe as a global AI leader. This is where AI Grid shines! 🌍 We foster collaboration between researchers in Germany and Europe, strengthening AI research through events like Science & Innovation Tours and the upcoming Spring School in Europe's AI hotspots 🏙️, uniting top minds to exchange ideas. 🔎 A look back at our past Science & Innovation Tours: 📍 May 2023: Stockholm 🇸🇪 Our members explored Sweden’s AI ecosystem, engaging with top experts from academia, research centers, and industry, with key visits to Digital Futures and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. 📍 October 2023: Zürich 🇨🇭 The tour provided insights into the Swiss AI landscape, with visits to institutions like ETH Zürich and IBM Research. The focus was on exchanging the latest AI developments and fostering academic collaborations. 📍 April 2024: Paris 🇫🇷 In the heart of the French “Silicon Valley,” our members explored Paris' innovative AI ecosystem. Highlights included meetings with La French Tech Paris-Saclay, Inria, and the SCAI (Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence). 📍 October 2024: London and Oxford 🇬🇧 The focus was on #MedTech and #AISafety. Our members visited the London Initiative for Safe AI and the Big Data Institute in Oxford to gain insights into current research projects and AI applications in healthcare. 📍 December 2024: Barcelona 🇪🇸 Participants discovered the dynamic AI ecosystem of Catalonia and made valuable contacts for future research collaborations. Visits to the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and IIIA-CSIC were at the center of this tour. 🎯 Our upcoming events: 📆 Spring School from April 7-11, 2025 in Paris 🇫🇷 In collaboration with the SCAI (Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence), we will focus on the topic: “How can emotionally intelligent AI transform society?”. 📆 Science & Innovation Tour from June 3-6, 2025 in Pisa and Trento 🇮🇹 We will visit the Italian cities to explore their AI research centers and innovations. Un financement pour concrétiser une idée : retour sur notre appel à projets ! Aujourd’hui, au Fablab Sorbonne Université et à SCAI (Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence), 16 étudiant(e)s entrepreneur(e)s ont relevé le défi de présenter leur projet devant un jury expert et bienveillant. Un exercice clé pour structurer leur vision, affiner leur ambition et transformer leurs idées en solutions concrètes ! 💡🎤   👏 Un immense merci aux membres du jury qui ont pris le temps d’évaluer ces projets avec rigueur et engagement.
