TotalEnergies and its partners Basrah Oil Company (BOC) and QatarEnergy launched today #ArtawiGas25: a facility to process 50 million cubic feet/day of gas previously flared. 🇫🇷 Brittany might not be the sunniest region in France, but when it comes to produce biogas, one can learn that some of #TotalEnergies’ key projects have their roots here… That's why our new Close to Home episode is dedicated to our #Biodéac site, a few miles from Saint-Brieuc! Antoine de Lavoisier used to say “nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed!”; that’s exactly what’s happening in Biodéac! 🐮💨 There, we collect animal manure and industrial food waste to produce biogas, which is then purified into #biomethane. We also use the digestate, a by-product of anaerobic digestion, as a high added-value organic fertilizer and used in place of synthetic fertilizers. In a nutshell, the #biogas sector is making a full contribution to the objectives of the French #energytransition, namely the development of renewable energies, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and the development of the circular economy. Let's celebrate a centenary of pioneering spirit with our "💯 years, 100 faces" campaign and the portrait of james, Aramis project Director, in the #Netherlands! 🇳🇱   The Aramis project is a public-private partnership between TotalEnergies, Shell, EBN B.V., and Gasunie. This large-scale #carboncapture and storage transportation scheme aims to store approximately half of the Netherlands' industrial CO₂ emissions, in depleted reservoirs offshore in the North Sea!   In this series, 100 employees agreed to speak in front of the camera to tell more about their stories and their #jobs!
