We're very happy and proud to celebrate the delivery of works in 7 airports in the Northern Region of Brazil to improve safety, accessibility, comfort and operational efficiency. With a total investment of R$1.4 billion, the works covered Manaus Airport, Tefé Airport, Tabatinga Airport, Porto Velho Airport, Boa Vista Airport, Rio Branco Airport and Cruzeiro do Sul Airport. The improvements provide a better experience for passengers and boost local economic development by strengthening air connections between the Amazon and the rest of Brazil and the world. This massive works plan was part of VINCI Airports’ commitment when it acquired in 2021 the Amazon airports. To enhance the passenger experience and streamline operations at Lisbon airport, ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, SA, a VINCI Airports subsidiary, launches modernisation works expected to be completed by 2027. This €233 million investment plan involves: ·      The expansion of Terminal 1 with a new 33,000 sq. metre South Pier, designed with high-environmental-performance objectives; ·      The construction of 10 boarding bridges and 12 aircraft parking stands; ·      The remodelling of the existing Central Pier and the connection to the future South Pier; ·      The redesign of the entire South bus gates. The Terminal 1 upgrade will: ·      Enhance passenger comfort by enlarging the terminal and boarding in direct contact with the terminal and providing direct access to aircrafts; ·      Improve airport operational performance; ·      Reduce the airport’s carbon footprint with high-energy-performance infrastructure and less vehicle traffic on the apron. This investment is part of VINCI Airports’ drive to expand connections in Portugal while upgrading the quality of service it provides for passengers. ANA has invested €120 million in the country’s airports so far in 2024. We are thrilled to announce that Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is now the 1st airport in the world to offer off-grid solar chargers for electric vehicles. 🇷🇸 In partnership with Beam Global, 5 independent EV ARC™ solar stations have been deployed at the Airport’s Premium Parking P1. This innovative solution allows passengers and visitors to charge their vehicles using renewable energy, free of charge. 🔋 What are the key points? • Each station can charge 2 vehicles simultaneously. • Powered entirely by solar energy, without relying on the grid. This milestone reflects our dedication to sustainable infrastructure in Serbia and beyond, complemented by initiatives such as the use of energy from the airport's solar park, the arrangement of green areas, waste recycling and the maintenance of biodiversity. Lancement des travaux d’électrification des opérations au sol à l'aéroport de Nantes ⚡ Ce projet de 15 M€, financé à 70% par Aéroports du Grand Ouest, soutenu par l’Union Européenne (30%) et accompagné par la Banque des Territoires, s'inscrit dans la politique environnementale de VINCI Airports. Il contribuera à une réduction des émissions de CO2e de 2 400 tonnes par an. ✈️ 12 postes avions électrifiés : les avions n’auront plus besoin d’utiliser leur moteur auxiliaire ou des équipements thermiques. Cela leur permettra de réduire l'utilisation de combustible fossile. 🔌 100 nouveaux points de recharge : installés côté piste, ils alimenteront en électricité les véhicules aéroportuaires et engins de piste. En conformité avec le règlement européen sur les infrastructures de carburants alternatifs (AFIR), ces postes d'alimentation seront opérationnels fin 2025. 🇯🇵 Exciting collaboration in our journey to zero emission aviation: in Japan, Kansai Airports, Airbus and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. have signed a MoU to explore the feasibility of hydrogen infrastructure at the 3 airports we operate in Kansai region: Kansai International, Osaka International, and Kobe airports. ✈️ This agreement follows a broader partnership established in 2022, aimed at advancing hydrogen solutions in airport infrastructure and operations. Kansai Airports, which operates three airports in Japan under the partnership between VINCI airports and ORIX, explores the implementation of hydrogen-powered airport services and supply chains to support the entire ecosystem, from aircraft operations to ground transportation. This promising initiative aligns with Japan's ambitious hydrogen-based energy strategy and VINCI Airports' commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 (scopes 1&2) but also to help its stakeholders to reduce their carbon footprint (scope 3). This MoU strengthens Airbus’ commitment to bringing the world's first hydrogen-powered aircraft to market by 2035. We’re continuing our journey to positive mobility in the UK! Following London Gatwick already accredited level 4+ and Edinburgh Airport level 4, Belfast International Airport is taking another significant step towards decarbonisation by achieving Level 3 ‘Optimisation’ in the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) scheme. This recognition assesses the airport’s performance in managing and reducing its direct emission as well as engaging its third parties in carbon footprint management. To achieve this, our teams have implemented a range of measures such as energy efficiency improvements, the introduction of electric vehicles across the airport fleet as vehicles as well as all diesel vehicles operating fuelled by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy. Well done to our teams! With more than 50 accredited airports, VINCI Airports is the first international contributor to the ACA programme governed by ACI EUROPE. Our decarbonisation target was to reduce our emissions by 51% between 2018 and 2030 (scopes 1 & 2). Achieved by the end of 2023, we have therefore defined more ambitious targets: -66% carbon emissions on our scopes 1 & 2 between 2018 and 2030 while acting in the same time to help our stakeholders to reduce their own emissions. #ACALevel3 #BelfastInternationalAirport #BFS #PositiveMobility
