#EnvironmentAwards The two last regional ceremonies of the VINCI Environment Awards were held last week for the Africa/Oceania and Mediterranean regions. Find out some winning solutions submitted by our teams at VINCI Airports: - Aéroport International de Toulon Hyères, being the first airport in France to have achieved net zero emissions on its scopes 1 & 2, while involving its partners (scope 3) at the end of 2023: https://lnkd.in/eS5TKWNV The airport reduced its carbon emissions by 92.5% between 2018 and 2022, i.e. 270 TeqCo2, and is committed to achieving a 90% reduction in its scope 3 emissions (representing 30,000 teqco2 in 2022) by the horizon 2050. This know-how can now be replicated across all airports operated worldwide by our teams and with several stakeholders. - Boa Vista Sun Power by Cabo Verde Airports, with the installation of a photovoltaic park and 3 battery banks including lithium batteries. With a production of almost 600 MW/year and a storage power of 700 kW, this installation will allow the Boa Vista airport to be almost self-sufficient for its electricity needs. https://lnkd.in/er4pchiY This is an important achievement because Cabo Verde still relies a lot on fossils for producing its electricity, as do many islands. In such context, this solution demonstrates the capacity VINCI Airports to implement efficient and long-term solutions to phase out of fossil-energy and to decarbonize airports’ scopes 1 and 2. On the road mobility field, teams from VINCI Autoroutes were also awarded for three solutions: - Carbon sinks and renaturation of highways wastelands: this solution is about using unexploited lands to carry out renaturation actions and natural capture and storage of carbon in soils: https://lnkd.in/e24UWnTT - Decarbonized project management on worksites with a reduction of 30.000 tons of CO2eq in 2023: https://lnkd.in/e24UWnTT - And last but not least, the Grand Prize for CaledonIA, an efficient solution proposed with VINCI Construction to adapt infrastructures to climate change by offering accurate analysis of large linear areas, faster detection of areas where action is required, and lower costs than conventional hydraulic studies: https://lnkd.in/ebDRa-mt Congratulation to them and to all other winners and participants in those regions! All together, we're committed to act for the climate, to optimise resources thanks to circular economy, and to preserve natural environments. #SolutionsForEnvironment #PositiveMobility

___ Nicolas Notebaert appointed Chief Executive Officer of Concessions at VINCI Xavier Huillard has named Nicolas Notebaert as Chief Executive Officer of Concessions at VINCI. In his new role, Mr Notebaert reports to Pierre Anjolras, Chief Operating Officer of VINCI. Already in charge of the VINCI Concessions business line (notably including VINCI Airports, VINCI Highways, VINCI Railways and several public-private partnerships), Mr Notebaert has thus been given responsibility for VINCI Autoroutes and VINCI Stadium as well. This appointment clarifies the Group’s organisation and will strengthen synergies between VINCI’s concession companies. As Pierre Coppey has resigned as Chairman of the motorway concession companies that make up VINCI Autoroutes, Mr Notebaert now also serves in that role. Mr Notebaert is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and holds an MBA. He joined the VINCI Group in 2002 as head of the Operations Department at Cofiroute and moved to VINCI Concessions in 2004 as Director of Business Development for France. In February 2008, Mr Notebaert was appointed Chairman of VINCI Airports. Under his leadership, VINCI Airports became the world’s largest private operator in its sector (more than 70 airports across 14 countries). In June 2016, Mr Notebaert was appointed Chief Executive Officer of VINCI Concessions and joined the VINCI Group’s Executive Committee. In particular, he has accelerated the development of VINCI’s motorway concessions outside France.

I’m verry happy to announce that VINCI Highways won a 30-year concession in Brazil to operate and modernise a 594 km section of the BR-040 highway. This section connects Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais, and Cristalina, located in the south of the state of Goiás, and serves the federal capital Brasilia. Based on our successful experience as airports operator since 2017 in Salvador and then Amazonia, and concessionaire of Entrevias highway in the state of São Paulo, this project marks a new step forward in VINCI Concessions’ development in Brazil where we have a strong presence with now 8 airports in management and + 1,100 km of highway. Congratulations to our teams! https://lnkd.in/ew4n5CtX #Brazil #VINCIHighways Belen Marcos #newmilestone
