A message from our founder about VITROPEP birth and expertise.
💡 More than ten years ago, in March 2014, I discovered the first molecular glass of peptide serendipitously and worked on the subject for two years. At the time, very few understood or believed in what I had discovered. My Institute refused to patent my work because it was deemed not innovative enough. My applications for grants or another postdoc were refused and I ended up being unemployed and doing various jobs for a few years. After a lot of work and a first proof of concept in May 2021, I created my startup VITROPEP (=glass peptide) to develop microneedles injections of peptides. Recently, High-quality scientific works, rediscovering some of my former findings, have been published in Science Advances (https://lnkd.in/eYA2pPKC) and Nature (https://lnkd.in/eig6THg3). You will not see publications on my side currently for patent reasons. But If you are interested in commercial applications of glass peptides for microneedles, optics, glue , self-healing properties or others, contact me. I have ten years of advance in the field compared to every other scientific teams in the world. 😉 🙂 It feels great because I was right all these years before everyone else. (you can ask yourself if you're crazy when you're the only one believing in an idea). 🙁 It feels bad because I didn't got the academic career I dreamed of despite making a great discovery. But at least I managed to create my startup and there's hope for its future. 🚀
