Ordinary life for Extraordinary people

À propos

We're hiring ! https://wandercraft.welcomekit.co/ Wandercraft ‘s job is to make wheelchair users walk again. We make real the promises of robotics by providing an ordinary life to extraordinary people. We have developed the first autonomous exo. In our world premiere clinical trials, persons with paraplegia walked human-like, autonomously and without crutches. The Wanderteam walks on the edge of robotics. We cooperate with world class university labs and medical centers in Europe and the US. Atalante is not only an exoskeleton. Atalante allows patients to stand up, without crutches. Atalante allows patients to finally be able to watch their loved ones in the eyes. Atalante allowed them to walk over 2 million steps. But above all, Atalante made them smile again. Atalante made 546 patients smile again. 546 patients who have chosen to place their trust in us. Join us to contribute to changing the lives of millions of persons. You will work in a supportive, fun and agile environment. You will have stunning colleagues, composing one of the best walk robotics teams in the world and chosen because they are selfless team players and not lone geniuses. Expect to be challenged: we do things that no one has done yet. Expect to have to work fast: we test and learn. Expect to have to aim at perfection: we make advanced technology exos that help mobility impaired persons and impact their health and happiness – not pizza delivery apps. Expect to get a ‘Wow’ each time you explain your job to your friends.

Watch history being made! We are overjoyed to see Thibault, trained Test Pilot and brother of founder Nicolas Simon, walking the 2024 Summer Paralympic Torch Relay in our Personal Exoskeleton.  This is the first public demonstration of the Personal Exoskeleton prototype for people living with tetraplegia (quadriplegia).  We are advancing rapidly with clinical studies for this first-in-class device designed to provide entirely hands-free movement. The team is proud to support the spirit of the Games and the Paralympic Torch Relay, representing equality and peacefulness in France. Good luck to all the athletes!

Truly indescribable feeling to watch Thibault walk alongside his brother Nicolas Simon as he becomes the first person with tetraplegia to walk in the Paralympic Torch Relay.   A moment made possible only with our prototype Personal Exoskeleton, the very technology Nicolas envisioned building over 10 years ago.  Wandercraft was born out of Nicolas’ vision to see his brother Thibault walk again after losing mobility as a result of CMT disease.  So we spent the last decade doing what everyone said was impossible: creating a self-balancing exoskeleton capable of carrying a person with very limited use of their arms and legs, like Thibault.  Now our dream of offering the 30M people with a walking impairment the option to walk again is on the horizon.  We can’t wait to see people walk, not only at big events but also in their everyday lives.  I am even more excited to confirm that the Personal Exoskeleton prototype is currently in clinical studies for home use.  #2024SummerParalympics#Paralympics 2024 #Paris2024 #FutureOfMobility

Therapists at Good Shepherd’s Hyland Center for Health & Technology recently became certified users of Wandercraft's Atalante X device. Last August, Good Shepherd became the first clinical user in the U.S. to utilize the hands-free, robotic exoskeleton technology that helps people with stroke and spinal cord injury to walk. Teams at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital trialed the technology with inpatient rehab patients — and now we are trialing it with outpatient neuro rehab patients. Congratulations and thank you to Kylie Erb, PT; Nicole Brennan, PT; Troy Kasick, PTA; Leeann Woodring, PTA; and Lyndsey McGrevy, OT.

Last week, we had the privilege of bringing together our amazing French community of therapists, researchers, patients, and innovators at #PhilantroLab From start to finish, the day was filled with inspiration, collaboration, and meaningful conversations. ✨ Highlights from the day ✨ A panel featuring experts Audrey EL KAIM, Abdelmadjid Hihi & Fabien Sauter, and Rebecca Sauvagnac Quera, MD who shared exciting research on exoskeletons in rehabilitation - including our own ongoing clinical trials around the world! We discussed implementation at a roundtable, where Dr. Michel Bégué, Hector Ibanez, and Charles MORIZIO shared their best practices for regularly integrating exoskeletons into their clinical practice. Workshops lead by our team of clinical specialists brought everyone together to work on real clinical cases, brainstorming how to design personalized rehabilitation pathways. The day wrapped up with a look into the future of Wandercraft, ending with exciting updates for our users and demonstration of our Personal Exoskeleton. Thank you to our speakers, moderators, and growing community of incredible users who made this day possible! We’re already looking forward to next year—see you at WanderClub France 2025! We had an amazing time at IEEE RAS HUMANOIDS Conference 2024 in Nancy! The Wanderteam wowed the crowd with demos, connected with the robotics community, and celebrated progress. Nicolas Simon delivered an inspiring talk, setting the stage for Kevin Piette, who stole the show with a live demonstration of the personal exoskeleton. Earlier this year, our pilot, Kévin, made history by carrying the Olympic torch in a personal exoskeleton. We excelled in the weight-carrying challenge at Humanoids, showcasing our capabilities. By assisting patients with severe mobility challenges and enabling them to use our exoskeleton, we relentlessly redefine the future of innovation. The entire team feels proud and grateful for this unforgettable experience. 🎬 This isn't exactly a "French auteur film," but I couldn't resist adding a little French touch with my accent! It was a true pleasure for me to meet Dr. Sandeep Singh MD FAAPMR, MD at the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) (AAPM&R) this year and have the opportunity to interview him. As Chief Medical Officer, Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, and Medical Director of the SCI Program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Dr. Singh shared his visionary insights and perspectives on future trends in PM&R. He is an inspiring leader and an engaging speaker, and I was fortunate to have heard him speak at the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA) conference just the week before. I am thrilled to be working alongside him to ensure the success of Atalante at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and to share our insights with our partners. A big thank you to the entire Good Shepherd team for your trust, dedication, and energy throughout this journey!
