As we approach NØRSE CØDE’s 6-month anniversary, I’m taking a rare moment to look back at what we’ve accomplished. I don’t do this often—I'm usually focused on what's next—but this journey deserves some reflection. It took Matt Olsofsky and me two years of development and over a thousand iterations to get NØRSE CØDE to where it is today. I still remember when we decided to run a double-blind study. Honestly, we weren’t sure we were ready. But we went ahead, comparing NØRSE CØDE against the vegan and whey top competitors. The results? They blew us away. NØRSE CØDE came out on top (A whooping 5 to 2 preference!), proving that a plant-based product could deliver the performance we set out to achieve. It’s been a wild ride, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come. Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing more about the journey, the lessons learned, and what’s next for NØRSE CØDE. Recently, I had the honour of sitting down with a prominent figure in the Agritech world(for my book on Agritech Entrepreneurs) who revealed his secret formula for selecting the perfect business idea. He highlighted three crucial factors that every entrepreneur should carefully evaluate before embarking on a new venture: Stability, Scalability, and Sustainability. Stability, he explained, is the foundation upon which a business can weather the storms of market fluctuations and the inherent risks that come with the territory of agriculture. A stable business model is one that can adapt and thrive in the face of change. Scalability, he emphasized, is the key to unlocking growth. A truly successful business idea must have the capacity to expand its reach and impact without sacrificing its core values or compromising the quality of its offerings. Finally, the entrepreneur emphasized the critical importance of Sustainability, particularly in terms of the long-term viability of the business. He firmly believes that Agritech businesses have a responsibility to create enduring value for their stakeholders and the communities they serve. By carefully considering these three essential elements — Stability, Scalability, and Sustainability — this visionary entrepreneur has built a profitable Agritech business. Interestingly, this entrepreneur’s journey towards building a successful Agritech business began long before he launched his venture. From a young age, he harboured a deep passion for entrepreneurship and was determined to start something of his own. With this goal in mind, he spent years observing, learning, and honing his skills in analyzing the Scalability, Stability, and Sustainability of business ideas. His childhood experiences and relentless pursuit of knowledge laid the foundation for his future success. By the time he was ready to embark on his entrepreneurial journey, he had developed a keen eye for identifying business opportunities that met his stringent criteria for long-term success. Entrepreneurship is like mathemtics A significant moment in my entrepreneurial journey is my mentorship experience with the CEO of Glytime Foods Mr Lesly Marange which started in March last year, thanks to JCI. It was an honour to interact and get advice from a CEO of an established brand.
