Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in an engaging panel discussion at MedFIT Event on “Augmented Intelligence: Balancing human expertise with AI in diagnostic decision-making.” It was a captivating session exploring how AI can support clinicians while ensuring transparency, ethics, and trust in patient care. Thanks to Paul Borm (Nano4Imaging), Simon Max Bloch Lajboschitz (Khora Therapeutics), Garnette Sutherland (OrbSurgical Ltd.), and YURONG XU (Huawei) for the insightful discussion and shared perspectives. We covered key topics like: -> How AI can effectively complement human expertise in diagnostics -> The importance of transparency, explainability, and ethical considerations in AI-powered healthcare tools -> The need for effective training to integrate AI into diagnostics It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with such knowledgeable peers.
