Ship To Cycle is a brand of SEL Sport & Events Logistics, a Benefit Corporation since 2023, which integrates a commitment to economic, social and environmental objectives into its charter.  The Ship To Cycle service was created with the aim of making it easier for people to travel with their own bicycles, enhancing the bicycle as a sustainable and environmentally friendly means of transport.  In line with SEL's values, Ship To Cycle works to generate a positive impact on society and the environment. In 2024, it partnered with IMPATTO POSITIVO, a project of Recuperiamo Srl - Società Benefit, which operates within a circular ecosystem to recover and redistribute meals and products at risk of being wasted and give them to those in need. Thanks to this collaboration, initiatives are tracked and documented through IMPACT-TOKEN, an innovative blockchain-based tool that allows social and environmental benefits to be measured transparently.  With this synergy, Ship To Cycle and SEL confirm their commitment to a more sustainable future, combining innovation and social responsibility. An extraordinary year for Ship To Cycle! This year we exceeded all expectations: more than 20,000 bicycles shipped throughout Europe and the rest of the world between services for individuals and companies! This is a result that celebrates our commitment and the continuous growth of the project, which is always focused on offering an efficient, fast and safe service.  But we didn't stop there: thanks to our collaboration with Impatto Positivo, we contributed to social and environmental sustainability projects by fully offsetting the emissions caused by our participation in the Giro d'Italia Start event and also contributing to:  - Distributing 6,000 equivalent meals   - Reduce emissions by 3,000 kg of CO2   - Saving 6,000 m³ of water   - Preserve 9,000 m² of soil  These results are not just numbers: they represent our commitment to a more sustainable future and our desire to leave a positive impact on the world in which we operate.  We look forward to 2025 with enthusiasm and determination, ready to simplify the logistical needs of individuals and companies by offering fast and efficient bicycle transport solutions. The future of cycling in Italy: numbers and opportunities    The #bike market in Italy is going through a phase of great transformation. A study by Bain & Company Italia highlighted significant data and trends that offer food for thought for the entire sector.   In 2020, thanks to the bike bonus, sales exceeded 2 million units (+18% over 2019). Despite an average drop of 17% between 2021 and 2023, the industry's turnover reached €2.7 billion in 2023 (+50% compared to 2018). With more than 330,000 units sold in 2022, #ebikes now represent 20% of the market, making cycling accessible to an increasingly wide audience. However, the sector is exposed to dependence on Asian components and geopolitical variables, with parts imports growing by 79% between 2020 and 2021.   In spite of the challenges, Italian exports show a positive balance of EUR 75 million, thanks to strong international demand for Italian-made products. This positive trend is also reflected in #employment, with a 16% increase in employment in the bike and parts sector between 2020 and 2022, totalling 17,600 workers.  To develop the full potential of cycle tourism, we need supportive policies and investment in cycling infrastructure.
