Earlier this month, Clint Morse, a dear friend, colleague, and mentor to all of us on the Friends of Adanu Board, passed away. We were devastated to learn of his passing, and are still trying to find ways to wrap our hearts and minds around it. While painful, we are comforted in his belief in God, and his tremendous legacy through his personal, professional, and philanthropic life. In many ways, Clint was much more than a friend, a boss, or even an acquaintance. He was a gentle, compassionate force of nature that drew many of the board members to Adanu in the first place. Clint engaged with DIVOG in 2007 (now known as Adanu through his professional expertise and guidance) and he was immediately taken by the mission and leadership of Richard Yinkah and the team. Thereafter, Clint quickly shared his passion for Adanu’s program with those he met or interacted with. With his quick wit, charisma, incredible story-telling abilities, and big eye-squinting smile, others recognized that Adanu was also more than a non-profit in Ghana. It was about impacting generations of children and villages throughout Ghana and those that Adanu touched around the world. He believed in Adanu’s cypher that by building empowerment in the villages, this was the special sauce that would carry the message throughout the Volta Region and beyond. While we mourn the loss of Clint, we are buoyed by his incredible resilience and ability to enrich impactful relationships, including our own. We send prayers to the Morse family, as well as to those that knew and loved him. He was a special, brilliant human being. Clint, you will forever be loved, forever remembered. Your legacy will always continue through those with whom you connected. Friends of Adanu Board

It was with great regret that I learned of the passing of Clinton David Morse, a man whose life and legacy have left an indelible mark on ADANU and the communities we serve in Ghana. Over 15 years ago, Clint, along with his wife and daughter, first stepped onto Ghanaian soil as volunteers in what was then the DIVOG program, now known as ADANU. That first visit was transformative, not only for Clint and his family but for us as well. His connection to our mission was immediate and powerful. From that moment, Clint and his family became more than just partners; they became our dearest friends. Clint’s love for the work we do and his unwavering support have been pillars of strength for ADANU. His passion was infectious, inspiring everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. Clint was instrumental in helping us expand our reach, touching more lives and strengthening more communities. His dedication was not limited to ADANU alone; it extended to supporting like-minded individuals and businesses across Ghana, always with the goal of uplifting others. Words cannot fully capture the depth of our grief or the extent of our gratitude for all that Clint has done. He was more than a supporter—he was a champion of our cause, a beacon of hope, and a true hero to the communities we serve. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived and the countless ways he made this world a better place. Clint will forever remain in our hearts as our greatest friend, partner, and hero. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May his legacy continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Clint. Your light will never fade. Richard Kwashie Yinkah Executive Director ADANU
