Position Summary: The Research Assistant will support the organization's program development team by researching relevant topics, compiling data, and assisting in designing new programs. The research will inform evidence-based decisions for MIHOSO interventions and strategies in addressing issues such as Poverty, Education, Health, and Gender Inequality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct literature reviews on topics related to program areas (e.g., gender equality, education, healthcare access, poverty alleviation) 2. Collect and analyze secondary data from reports, journals, and databases. 3. Assist in preparing concept notes, proposals, and reports to support funding applications. 4.Prepare presentations and summaries of research findings for internal and external stakeholders. 5. Collaborate with program teams to incorporate research findings into project design and implementation. 6.Assist in identifying new funding opportunities and key trends in development work. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social sciences, international development, Statistics or related fields. Strong analytical skills and experience with qualitative and quantitative research. Ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with international development frameworks e.g. SDGs etc.
