The Objects & Functions of the NPA are: To monitor and regulate petroleum prices in accordance with the prescribed pricing formula, grant licenses to service providers and marketing companies, protect Consumers interests and maintain the highest standards of petroleum products offered to them.

Session 5 on the second day of the ARDA LPG Forum 2024, is entitled “Role of Regulators in Creating an Enabling Environment for LPG Adoption in Africa” and will be moderated by Pascal Manuelli, Vice President of TotalEnergies. Contributions will also be heard from Ntiwaa Kwakye, Director of Gas at NATIONAL PETROLEUM AUTHORITY (NPA) and Kouamé Bienvenu Esse of the General Directorate of Hydrocarbons (GDH). ---------- La session 5 de la deuxième journée du Forum GPL de l'ARDA 2024 est intitulée « Le rôle des régulateurs dans la création d'un environnement favorable à l'adoption du GPL en Afrique » et sera modérée par Pascal Manuelli, Vice-Président de TotalEnergies. I was privileged to have been invited as a speaker to the 19th Annual Fuel Exchange Agreement Forum, which was held in Garmisch, Germany 🇩🇪 from 17-19 September 2024. The forum, which was held under the auspices of the United States 🇺🇸 Defense Logistics Agency (Energy Europe & Africa), brought together more than 90 participants from across Europe & Africa to discuss among other things worldwide fuel capabilities, to explore potential reciprocal fuel support and supply arrangements as well as provide an opportunity for enchancing partnerships. My briefing, in broad strokes, touched on fuel supply in Ghana 🇬🇭 and measures put in place by the National Petroleum Authority to ensure security of supply in order to meet the fueling needs of various categories of users within and outside the country.
